I would like to witness that happening. If you dare.

Errrrrrr .... hmmmm ...... ahhhhhh ..... no (directly) and yes (indirectly).

No as it doesn't really affect your relationship with the Lord. Don't be a prophecy chasing "freak"

This doesn't mean we don't read the news and be aware of what's going on.
Yes as in ... well ... the end is nigh. Just grow to be the overcomer that the Lord wants.
How about de1929? Is he a "prophecy freak?"

Cult church? Which one is that? You were a mormon? I once met a mormon guy, very friendly. He invited me to help out the blind people association at brickfields. I often played chess with the blind folks, they are really good at it, beat me every time because we play chess every day.
Well those seductions of materialistic possessions are very obvious.
Just becareful of those subtle inferences. I know i sound like I come out with a heart of condemnation. But we do have to have that heart of being able to tell whats right from wrong based on Holy Spirit that lives in us and our meditation of the word. I been criticised for not supporting pastors who are leaders that need prayers from the church members. I do pray for the pastors but its just when they start to do things they think its deemed best for the church but not realizing they doing more damage to the person's walk with God, I just got to say something. Unfortunately, all they want is a Yes Man. I wouldn't mind disagreements, as long as they have the heart of love to listen and consider what I say. If I say something that is different from the goals of the church, I am labelled as the troublemaker, and ignored. I mean, i not against the goals of the church, just a matter of discussion, I am not a person who is divisive and won't listen, i will help when help is needed.
When people tell you to give and say you always receive..its not true. When we obey God's commands, we become salt and light in every where we go, we also give as well. Like for eg, this weekend, my unbeliever friend who needs help to move house, I am willing to volunteer to move his furniture. This is part of giving to God's kingdom as well, reaching out to your unbeliever friends. You don;t have to toil you sweat as a church worker to be a giving person. Even attending cg and sharing, is also an act of giving as well.
My church has 3000 people, so how many roles can you get into to be part of its active ministry of giving? Probably only 500 positions are opened, so not everyone can participate. I once went into a ministry of which my part is so miniscule, I only contribute 5% of the work done by a 20 person committee. I do try to take initiative to do something else...but at the end, most of us just ended up attending meetings of discussions upon discussions, because too many people to do so little work.
I'm not a Mormon. I don't want to talk about my past. Please don't ask anymore.
I know what you mean. There's an aunty in my CG that always eyeball me and talked behind my back in church since Day 1. One day I invited her to my house because she wanted to use my PC for a while. I said, "Fine."
She got shocked that I have 1 iPad, 1 iPhone, 1 Note 3, 1 Note 4, 2 Macbooks, 2 laptops and 1 desktop.
Then she asked if I can lend my Macbook to use for a few weeks. Of course I said, "No."
She asked, "Why not?"
Well because your mouth is like a viper. Pretend me be nice to me but behind my back you say all those nasty things.

Of course she just left and when I see her in CG, we just say "Hi" but we don't talk to each other.
Its funny too that in church some of those members always ask you for help, but when you need help, they just brushed you off and ask you to pray to God.
Its always the unbeliever that offer to help you too.
Why such hypocrisy? Always talk about God's mercy and love thy neighbour, etc...But never display Christ like behaviour to help others in need.
Sure I said that I ignored those crazy herds in church, but I'm human too, you know.
