Yes, it's a drawback. Plus, 1gb is not sufficient for you to multitasking.

battery life is quite good for most of us(ie. 2days moderate use). if problem still persist, do a full restore and try again

I can get two days off with 3 Hours SOT. everything is turned on. smile.gif
After a year, the battery wear seems not exaggerate, still able to hit 3 hours SoT mark before the battery completely drains.

Got back a Z Ultra ( S'pore set) from my relative. Is a month old and it comes default with 4.4.4 ( 14.4.A.0.108)
This is my 3rd XZU after the other previous two ( a 3G and LTE unit)
This set apparently feels smoother with the newer firmware
I hd zero issues rooting and installing CWM on previous 2 units but ran into a lot of problems trying on this unit
All rooting methods proposed at XDA all failed. Finally managed to root it using a solution I found from XDA Z2 forum - using a Root_Restore by Bin4Ry. It was fast and easy
However till now I failed to install CWM/TRP using the default recommended Dual Recovery software. Downloaded TWRP manually and tried to flash it from fastboot and flash shown successful but phone just won't boot to TWRP recovery mode. Tested flashing another proposed adv-stock-v4.img recovery file and similar problem too
I am still hunting for a solution. Any other methods is welcome and willing to test it out

welcome back to the bandwagon, uncle benny. rclxms.gif

have you tried this? the method involves downgrade, root, push recovery and update.

The listed formware is same as nine. No downgrading is involved
I don't quite understand it. I had downloaded the stripped version and is only 28 MB !! Dare not tried it
I will try to download the bigger version about 990 MB of it
You mean if I use flash tool, the firmware will ended up with root and recovery installed ??

No. You need to download the older ftf to root. Should be a 4.2.2 ftf.

The steps are same as in the link.
