just win the league and finish strong in UCL, plus Mou is here..we will have the advantage..hopefully..but MU can just offer huge wages and big transfer fees..so we will lose the battle if they play that card. laugh.gif

Its the future bro. Plenty of time to mould and train zouma to be world class defender

As for now, I prefer old+young combo that is terry and zouma or cahill and zouma

One thing that worries me is, fab replacement

He has been a miracle worker for us. And thus far haven't see any chelsea player can contribute much in the passing department

i think its hard to make a choice. Cahill been good before, seems like he is recovering from his bad form i guess. Zouma's been excellent AND JT has been superb. best CB in EPL i must say. can only play 2 CB 1 game... unless like that COC finals play all 3 laugh.gif

and Cahill is the JT replacement once JT is gone, so he still plays an important part..

i always believe oscar can fill that role, tho much needed to learn by experience he can mirror either lampsy of fabsy in the future.

But to be honest when fab started out, it was community shield against us.

I still remember his mullet hairstyle back then.

Oscar now is around what? 22 23 something, if he wants to emulate fab he needs to be great. But to me his performance is not consistent at all.

And most of the time he's like invinsible

Zouma did well in DM role in the final. But tbh, his style is not suited at all to play at DM. In previous games that he started, I notice he prefer to let players run past him then use he'll use his pace to recover the ground and put in a tackle. A bit passive imho. Wait til opposition make a move, then only Zouma make a move to counter it.

Oh well, maybe I was spoilt by Matic. Matic is more of an active player. He don't wait for opposition to make a move and make a tackle. I notice Matic always attacks the opposition with the ball. No space and time given to the opposition if Matic is playing. He always close down the opposition quickly and effectively.

But with Matic suspended. We'll juz make do with Desailly Zouma in DM. flex.gif

much better than our defensive god Mikel.. he not bother to chase the ball at all.. walking at the middle of the field like nothing happened.

Sad to say, Mikel will never be the same player anymore. Due to the modern football, DMF nowadays nid to be quick in closing down and play at a high tempo, that's why players like Vidal, Matic, Matuidi, Schweinsteiger, Khedira are successful, coz they have the energy and can play at high tempo or quick passing game.

But during Mikel's prime, he played quite well. Especially those days where we play 433. Lamps, Essien and Mikel. Mikel's role is just to be a destroyer in front of the back 4. But then nowadays, destroyers nid to keep up with a high tempo game. Mikel's lack of pace totally destroyed him. laugh.gif And also his lack of forward pass.

Ramires is like totally terbalik with Mikel. He got the energy and pace, but physically and tackling not that good. How gud if we can fuse both Mkel and Ram together. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
