QUOTE(clarence91 @ Apr 5 2015, 01:01 PM) Yes, the Mazda uk have it as original accessories as web site link below, Not sure for mazda Malaysia. Even they have original shark fin antenna for HB, also scuff plates for those who looking for it at previous post. Also body kits and body decalIn Uk, they have a lot of specs model for mazda 2 including model with halogen headlamp as malaysia M2 or model with LED day running light as Japan M2. But their web didn't offer LED day running light kit set under accessories for ppl to upgrade their halogen headlamp to LED projector headlamp. Even they have fog lamp kit set under accessories to upgrade for their model which is not include fog lamp as standard feature. That is a sad news for those looking for original LED day running light. Look like Mazda not intend to include original LED day running light kit as upgrade-able accessories. http://www.mazda.co.uk/buying-owning/acces...mazda2/2015-02/ http://www.mazda.co.uk/buying-owning/acces...ity/C850V7650A/ http://www.mazda.co.uk/buying-owning/acces...ling/DA6CV1370/ http://www.mazda.co.uk/buying-owning/acces...fety/DA6CV4600/ http://www.mazda.co.uk/buying-owning/acces...udio/DAYA79930/ |

Hi, I like to ask is it possible for Mazda 2 to fit in Auto Cruise from OEM Mazda? I really hope Mazda Malaysia could add in this option as accessory or after sales upgrade like the GPS option.

What he meant is Mazda 2 sold here in Malaysia, the headlamp we got is Halogen type, but not the LED type. In UK, they have a wide range of selections from cheap(halogen headlamp) to expensive (LED headlamp) to select from, look at it as like UMW Toyota is offering the J auto, J manual, E, G, & S level at different price. But Mazda Malaysia only get 1 trim level for Mazda 2.From Mazda UK website, we cannot buy the LED headlamp as accessory part. Same goes to the cruise control unit I am longing to have one on Mazda 2. Yet again, I believe the LED headlamp can be easily purchased from Thailand and get it swapped at Mazda SC, and some labour charge as well, after warranty ends. Cruise control on the other hand, is more complicated unless all the necessary control unit, harnesses and steering wheel button panel are purchased. Else, one could get aftermarkets cruise control modules to be installed in Mazda 2. This post has been edited by RicoT: Apr 5 2015, 09:21 PM |

All gotta do with gearing. Mazda opted for linear pickup, they say better for your neck and overall less strains on the body. It's the 0-100 that matters anyway. I'll bet the 2 is still faster

Didn't notice it b4. I Juz step lightly on the pedal, the car zoom forward unlike the m2 which takes time to get speed Unlike Toyotas, Mazda 2 employs a more linear throttle control like conti cars.To find out which car is faster try the following: 1. From standstill, floor the throttle on each car (not quarter throttle, not half throttle.....FULL THROTTLE), see which on reaches 100km/h first. 2. Rolling start: both cars going 80km/h, floor the throttle at the same time and see which one reaches 130km/h sooner. My money is on the Mazda on both counts, especially on test 2. I can tell you even the Myvi 1.5 feels faster than the Mazda 2 when accelerating at low speeds, but when it comes to places where it counts most, like overtaking at highway speeds, it has nothing on the Mazda. The 6 speed skyactiv gearbox will eat them for breakfast. This post has been edited by dares: Apr 5 2015, 10:31 PM |

Just a example to show u that Mazda uk offer the auto folding window when start/stop engine as upgrade-able accessories kit. That means if Mazda Malaysia bring in the kit and sell as accessories. U can buy this kit and have this function install by mazda SC plus keep the original warranty and this is possible because they going to sell body kits in Malaysia same as body kits what mazda uk offer in their website. Just not sure, what else accessories they will bring in Malaysia compare to Mazda oversea. |

Didn't notice it b4. I Juz step lightly on the pedal, the car zoom forward unlike the m2 which takes time to get speed First of all, check whether your Yaris is electronic throttle or mechanical cable throttle. If it is mechanical cable, the throttle response can be different, even between car of the same model, due to after accident repair or other reasons. The cable might be shorten or lengthen after repair. Secondly, Mazda aims for better fuel economy yet provide dynamic driving experience, hence the throttle response is linear and the accelerator pedal travel distance might be different. Also, if you press the accelerator pedal on the 2 all the way, the is a button clicked feeling, only then, you are a full throttle. As quoted below, the power and torque figures seems similar between Yaris and 2, hence there shouldn't be any difference in acceleration. Unless, the Yaris is using smaller diameter wheels. Then Yaris may have that acceleration advantage, but fuel economy wise at higher speed, it may lose out. Hey guys, my mum wish to trade in my 2011 myvi for a new b segment with 90k budget. I personally likes the mazda2 sedan as my primary choice while city as secondary. However my mum is much concern about the resale value of mazda, she prefer T&H cz of their higher value. So i wish to ask owners of m2 is there any points i can persuade her to get m2 compared to city? City has got a green light from her and i'm the one who's gona drive this new car

M2 i personally believe that fuel consumption is better compare to T&H. If u get m2 u worry less on maintenance for around 2-3years time(60k km) because its all free maintenance that being covered by mazda package. Unlike Honda u pay for maintenance alternately. Anyway its always depends on how the car to be. For family car then better go for T&H. If its just you driving it most of the time, m2 is great choice I would said.Hope it helps a little. |

Design wise, M2 is so much more handsome. Bring your mum to test drive M2 and City. Your mum's going to love M2. |
