last day to invest for this year is on 15.12.07. but of course, you won't get the divident cause it will only count for the investment made on each 1st of the month. if you invest after the 1st, it will only calculate for the next month onward.

don't worry. no need to report police one. fill up a form. angkat sumpah with comm of oath. pay a total of 18 to both the comm and asnb. walah. got your book back.
If i were u, no need to transfer out yr money from asb to asw. make sure your asb if full. ASB WILL HAVE THE BEST RETURN. It has been proven ever since day 1. Somemore they give u bonus. ASW don't have one. |

actually they can give to you either via reinvest in your account or cheque. I think since 4 years ago they have been reinvesting back your dividend to yr account. Save mah.. no attrition from their coffers.

You can only withdraw EPF for ASW (bumi portion) and ASD which is for the fixed RM1 each unit.
ASB you are not allow to withdraw EPF. For non fixed, ASN2,ASN3 and ASG, you can withdraw your EPF. Just like other mutual/unit trust funds. For ASW - only for bumi can open. ASM/ASW - non bumi depends on unit availability. If got unit, you can open but very seldom lah. TIPS - try going to ASNB office early in the morning. Try your luck there. Any more question? Actually you can go to either 4 agent namely Maybank, POS, RHB or CIMB.
The problem with POS is with the limited cash on hand. I think they don't allow any withdrawal more than 2k. (IF NOT MISTAKEN). If you want to be save, go to the banks. The banks normally don't have any limit but they do advice customer not to bring alot of cash with them. I think up to 25k you can get cash. After that is all banker's cheque. |

you can't buy anywhere if it's sold out. but you can try you luck in PNB HO in Jalan Tun Razak.
My advice, go there early in the morning. The branch is open from 8.15 to 4 monday - friday. Why? IF anybody were to sell their ASW units, normally early in the morning they will have some unit left over from yesterday's transaction. MY THEORY ONLY. Just try la. |

Also FYI. ASB/ASW/ASM/ASD will only consider your top-up if you bank in on the first day of the month. If you bank in later, it will only reflect to you dividend calculation for the next month.

QUOTE(amirbashah @ Dec 28 2007, 04:52 PM) Do you guys deposit your salary/money automatically into your ASB/ASW/ASM/ASD/ASN etc account?I just want to know how.Do I have to go to the bank and tell them to do so or I have to deal with the human resource department in my company? It's much more convenient if a portion of my salary automatically transfers to my ASB account rather than going to the bank and deposit it myself. How to do auto deposits to ASNB unit trust fund?Pay yourself first you guys Here's how. 1. Subject to availability. ASB to bumi and up to 200k. ASW no limit to bumi. Non bumi can't do so. ASD and ASM cannot do. 2. Type a. Manual - bank in thru their bank agent or post. b. Salary deduction - pick up the salary deduction form from their agent/PNB office. Fill in and give to your employer to do their work. If your employer is not registered with them yet, asked them to do so. If they are not/wont do that, you have another option. c. Standing instruction - if you have bank account with either MBB/CIMB/RHB - good. most willingly going to do it on the cheap. because they will get their commission. Other's, i dont know how much they will charge on it cause they need to do more work. Bottom line, try doing it by 1st of each month. Then your money will work best for you in ASNB unit trust fund. TRUST ME. |

Limit for ASB is still RM200k. Never more than that. But i knew people which has more than RM500k in ASB. How come? Accumulate dividend. U can't invest more than RM200k since their system have a mechanism to control how much you have bought/sold.
"Another thing, when was the last time ASB made any losses or did it even happen?" this is just my personal view. I think most prob, ASB has made some loses during the last financial downturn. they must have lost millions if not billions during that time when share market drop down to 200-300 points only. only thing is that, they must have use their BIG reserved accumulated for 17 years to give out dividend during that time. without any reserved, i'm sure that they wont be paying anything during those bad time. Read thru your account statement that will be sent to you in March. See how much is the reserve. If you are comfortable wit it, invest. if not dont. It's already 10 years so the cycle is coming. How bad it will hit Malaysia, nobody know. Invest your money properly. This post has been edited by kriel: Jan 3 2008, 04:28 PM |

QUOTE(ah_suknat @ Jan 7 2008, 09:44 AM) the limit is 200k, the reason some one has more than 200k in their asb is because of accumulation from past investment. as correct as it can be. like i said b4, ASNB has their system to verify your available unit 2b purchase by u.to make it simple, 200k is the maximum amount of money that you can put into an asb account, but theres no limit to how much the investment will accumulate from its compounded dividend for exampl, today I invest 180k into my asb, 5 years later, my asb already have more than 300k in it, but I still can put another 20k because I haven't maximize my 200k quota. I need pro to verify this too. coz not very sure. I might b wrong. |

QUOTE(ah_suknat @ Jan 9 2008, 02:31 AM) so theoritically speaking then the limit isn't 200k then?? yes. given scenario, I invest 200k max to the limit, one year later got 250k (e.g), then I took out rm249,990 because I got emergency need to use the money and leave rm10 to keep the account active. then after that I still can invest rm199,990 into the same account ah?? sorry bit confused here... you can deposit back 249,990 back la. cause you already withdraw 249,990. tak percaya, cuba la Added on January 9, 2008, 8:33 am QUOTE(gatevalve @ Jan 8 2008, 06:55 PM) hi all, ASB if you like the security of fixed price cause they give you dividend and bonus as well.which amanah saham will give the best return? plan to invest rm 3000/month until reach the limit.( 200k rite?) for non fixed price, i dont la la bro.
