Got the Works Engineering air-filter. After installed, immediately can feel some differences in static postion -> moving 1st gear. Improve the throttle lag especially when going out from junction..

if it really can last 150k (with cleaning between 20-30k), and if the performance is consistent throughout the product life time, I would say it really worth the price. thumbup.gif

Next week will monitor and see if it helps improve the FC alot.

Hi, I'm a fresh graduate and Im eyeing the Axia for my first car as I'm desperately need a car for transport to my workplace.
Right now I'm targeting  the E spec as it is the cheapest.
I'm planning to upgrade the audio system including speaker, HU, maybe an amp + sub also.
My question is, it is adviceable to do that or just grab the G specs and upgrade from there?
Also, if I upgrade the audio system to the E spec car, does it woid the warranty?
*
I strongly advise get the G-spec instead of the E :

1) RM5k is not that much different over the loan period of 5,7,9 years.
2) RM5k for the alarm, alloy rims, side mirrors, audio system, RPM meter, FC calculator function and etc are well worth it. If you get E-spec, you will need to do wiring for the radio system. E-spec has no audio system at all.
3) E-spec need to wait at least 6-months, G-spec 3 months.

G-spec is more complete yet affordable. You can slow upgrade the HU / Speakers, as the wiring is completed.

Last week went to Perodua branch with my friend. They sales say if trade-in maybe can get G spec before CNY. that's is more or less 3 weeks. Superb fast if can deliver, but in the end we didn't choose the trade-in option.

Changed my cabin bulb to LED type. Now is super bright. I didnt use much cabin light, but it really useful when I drop any things and need the light. The ori bulb is just too dark.

Already upgraded sound system for my car. I just installed 4 speakers, each on every door with simple Panasonic dvd radio (Plan to upgrade HU that can integrate with iPad). I also installed alarm, central lock and buzzer. All still costs me below 1k. But you need to find accessories shop that can give cheap price.  thumbup.gif
*
Wow ! you install those for below 1k? thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Yep..minus the radio with dvd unit (As I used old unit from my other car) sweat.gif . To be exact, it doesn't exceed Rm650. Other upgrades for my car are tint, wheel cap, arm rest and muffler tip from MK (Yes you MK  icon_rolleyes.gif ). All that is just plus minus 1k. Can you imagine what upgrades can I add for another RM4k (before reaching next spec price)? tongue.gif
*
yea the muffler tip icon_rolleyes.gif , have you got it secure so that it wont move vertically ?
4k is alot, still can go for tint, and even rims & tyres after that laugh.gif

Now you have made the E-spec a super value-buy thumbup.gif

Btw, did anyone get any discount from sa? Because I heard my sa say perodua HQ is issue out a memo to them mention they cannot offer any discount for axia to customer. Zzz
*
I think all the discounts for Axia are given by the SA personally from his/her commission. Either get discounts or free gifts.

Hi, same here, i found the spot, it is near the above of air bag part. You can try press that part and it would make sound "tit tit tit".

Still havent figured out how to solve it, guess have to remove the glovebox again.

This is my experience on the P gear, posted before in V1.

QUOTE
Hi all, today I notice something when using my AXIA to fetch full passengers (5 people in total).

I (alone) parked the car at the car park, which on a little slope. I pull the handbrake, left off the foot brake, make sure the car is not moving, then put the gear to P.

Then on the second day, we (5 people) sit inside the car. After I start the engine, and try to pull the gear from P to N, I realize it is very heavy than usual, and there is a sound of something release or lock when move the gear to N. The handbrake still engaged.

Then I do some experience on the same car park. If I put gear to P with 1 person inside the car, and the next time I move the gear from P to N with also 1 person inside car, there no such issue.

Hope my story is not confusing.. anyone experience the same thing before ?

Something to share regarding the Works Engineering air filter

Before I install the Works Engineering air filter, my FC for long distance highway journey is 17-18km/l if I drive at highspeed 110km/h & above. If I drive at lower speed between 80-100km/h, then only I can get around 21km/l.

This time CNY trip I drive at 110km/h+, surprising my FC is also around 21km/l. Not really sure is the engine oil is reaching its maximum performance (my car odo is 6k now) or it is really the air filter, though I strongly believe it is the air filter tongue.gif

For normal daily city routine drive, the FC is more or less the same before & after the air filter, however pickups is better with the air filter.
