after few rounds with Sampson DD, i realize i really noob on DD

Ships ler, personal level currently capped at level 8. Usually as DD you need to cap or front line torp food.

US DD is harder since the torpedoes are shit. If want to have fun-er game go japan dd. So far yolo with dd is fun but my team might be angry after i die usually fast.

jz try the game, currently at tier 3, for both US and Japan battleship and cruiser.
but still i prefer WOT more,

been focusing on ship unlocks only, so didnt upgrade much except for the lower tiers

i go in no ppl provide fire..lel...

so i died kena gangbang...especially those who group together..well at least before i go down..i took 2 cruiser with me huehuehue..destroyer is lifeeeeee

i'm watching a lot WOWS vid, especially on TheMightyJingles, but i still having trouble estimating torpedo spread, point and heading against enemy ship..

last night few of my torp hit friendlies

Aim those corners where u expect those ship will come out . Hold "ALT" to check for important info . And always check ur torpedo range b4 firing .

I usually fire when there's enemy ship at 10km range if my torpedo range is 7km.

enemy at 10km but torpedo only 7km? can work like that?

japanese torpedo is slow, assuming they are closing to you that is a decent ahead lead to hit them
and that is the only way to play US destroyer with only 4.5km range

Tats how I usually fire once I checked for any friendlies tat dont anyhow wonder into my fire zone. Unless ur a DD ,launching torpedoes earlier and hope it hits is better.

well with tier 4 ships i guess the reward really is high..

at least im getting 1.2 to 1.3k exp per game....becoz

wait..wakatake so high exp...me iz jelly of torpedo skill..

well i can oni estimate up to 5km...longest torpedo hit for me 7km...memang tahap gunbound calculation LOL..

though my canon skill is actually good...maybe coz canon faster than torpedo haha

just found this thread yesterday and finish download WoWs beta asia recently
now only finish tier II, saving star for tier III (need more stars for other type of ships )

now i feel like the time when i start playing WoT long time ago, terrible aim and drive, dunno where to go
well, just need more time to practice

BTW, all the progress we made during this beta will be all gone when this game become official, right?
hope they will keep the free exp so that i can use it in other games

There will be no more wipe. I think the linking wot and wow thing is not implemented yet.

You need to gauge and expect where and how the enemy vessel will behave. DD and fast cruiser, you can forget about torp them early or too far. most of the time, they will steer around and your torps are wasted. instead torp when they're near enough.. Battle ships yes. they are sitting ducks if they have long rudder shift.

Also, use the islands as natural cover and set up ambush. Choke points like this is perfect.
