Had the same dilemma as u last time during CBT.... but coz during that time the EXP is so much higher than what it is today, u unlock ships pretty fast and i manage to unlock all line (CV,BB,CL,and DD). If ur playstyle like me (support type) i suggest u continue down the CL/CA line.

but be warned...St louis and Phoenix CL is CRAP.....so be prepared to loose some hair..but once u reach omaha should be ok dy.

I personnally think St Louise is not bad for that tier
8 gun for full salvo is op for that tier, better chance to set fire with HE and citadel penetration with AP

Wow after patch the module damage for DD is crazy.

Was planning to buy Atago when a further check on the price turn me off.I might as well wait for the Russian twin battleship Bismarck on sale. I probably use the money to grind to tier 7 . And probably waited for sale or port slot included b4 buying Atago.

Atago is a worth buying ship. Do you play Myoko during beta? Atago is a Myoko with better torpedo layout. The only real drawback is its less-than-stellar turning circle.

Here is an extra information about Atago.

Pros: Looking good, good torpedo arcs, nice guns, low profile, good trajectory

Cons, Really BIG citadel, awkward 3rd turret

Phoenix I agree, but the St Louis is definitely not crap, in fact it's borderline OP with its huge array of guns. the ridiculous 8 gun broadside will set fire to everything it sees.

Fast torp reloads only till Tier V, past that you're looking at 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds reload.

basic phoenix yes. but with full upgrade, you can pawn everyone like tenryu.

Try Furutaka of the IJN tier V cruiser. .

Now that I checked US cruiser branch ,even though they lack torps but their tier 10 Des Moines is having a 6 sec CD on main artillery and 76 AAs. Aint nearing that cruiser if I were a DD.

Best one for me so far, on fully upgraded Kongo (and lean more towards AA)

Hope they wont add this ship back in WoW.

Just realise got this thread.
Yesterday I play whole day and so much fun..
Either I dint notice friendly or enemy torpedo, too focus on attacking enemy especially on destroyer (50% got hit) until hit the island, launch torpedo but got teammate not even notice kena hit and blame with me foul word or most epic I b3come IP man 1vs 5 ship

Use the auto pilot to ur advantage . Whenever u see a DD running away or turn side ,there's high chances torps are heading ur way . Always let BBs tank the front

I don't like autopilot not fun leh...
I learn quickly how to avoid tropedo in min damage or none with us or Japan crusher haha... 80% success sometime use dead ship which still sinking as a shield
I was using tier 3 ship that match no battleship leh
Tonight I want to try ramp enemy ship haha

newbie reporting in. Just started playing and focusing down on JP tech tree.

For those interested in buying premium ship. HMS Warspite ,British's Tier 6 Battleship is going to be on sale for 1 week.

For US CL, St Louis is awesome...but now i'm on Phoenix i find it a bit less powerful than St Louis, but it is fast and maneuverable...as for Jap CL, i'm on tenryu only..find it less interesting than St Louis..

For BB, now at wyoming...havent tried Jap BB though
