how long does it takes for the rubber on the sides (the place where your thumb grips) of MX518 to wear-off? IMO, MX518 looks ugly. but it has extra buttons that krait doesn't have.

It depends man.....,the Krait is on a 1200dpi sensittivity whilst the Mx518 is on a 1600dpi sensitivity....,that's a difference but it's almost negligible.....,my hands are bigger so i prefer the Mx518 but i'm using the older viper which is
in fact suited for smaller hands and it doesn't really bother me either.....,i'd say go for the Mx518.....

krait is also 1600dpi.

actually most gaming mouses have sensors that are obviously good enough.

your main concern should be which mouse feels better in your hands.

Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 now has been spiced up with 9000 dpi optical sensor...I am using it.
S$ 65 is what I get for my mouse. I like it a lot. Yeah. Plan to get another one after CNY....afraid it sold out again

If you are really a serious gamer, go for Razor brand mouse. It is quite expensive, but definitely the best gaming mouse ever (response are fast, precise and sharp)...
