If you play in high sensitivity then its ok la. But if you play low sensitivity then you will definitely have problems with skipping.
I take 47 cm swipes to turn 360 in cs, and i have to do it quick, the habu will not track accurately at those speeds.
heck even my ie3 skips on and off, my mx518 doesn't la, but the ie3 feels better.
time to get a death adder =p
oh btw, the death adder's sensor is topnotch wayyyyyyyyyy better than the habu / copperhead sensor

QUOTE(SpikeTwo @ Aug 23 2007, 08:59 PM) their mouse isn't small. it is meant for finger tip control (so called pro style not from me, read from elsewhere). i skipped deathadder because it followed logitech's palm control (typical style). but i can see G9 has a bright future because it includes both! and more bodykits to come. great news. combine logitech QC with finger tip control. yummy... Rubbish. Fingertip grip is a just a modern grip, just because it is used more often now compared to the classic palm.

QUOTE(SpikeTwo @ Aug 26 2007, 03:00 PM) well, it is what they called from one the G9 preview site. still, i like fingertip control, or modern grip as you call it. that's why i didn't get the deathadder. Marketing marketing. I believe at least 75% ppl who games casually gets tricked into buying gaming mice just for that reason alone. =/ I myself use a mix between fingertip and palm. My whole palm sits over the mouse but my fingers are raised. And I'm using an IE3 where the Deathadder got its body design from =p

QUOTE(X.E.D @ Sep 12 2007, 10:31 PM) BTW is the Deathadder a good purchase for ~RM200? I'm thinking heavily about it since my MX310 was an awesome mouse (until it because worn out lol) and I keep hearing great things about the Deathadder. If you can live with not having on the fly dpi switching built into the firmware then the deathadder is a great mouse. Sure you can install the drivers to utilize on the fly sensitivity change [different thing here] but on lan parties or tournaments installing drivers are a pain, and usually not allowed in tourneys. but one to his own, go give the deathadder a feel, thats whats most important. The sensor is second to none and is as good as the mx518's sensor

QUOTE(merzchan @ Sep 13 2007, 04:07 PM) Lachesis body shape look like death adder. the different is the sensor technology & extra 2 control button on the right. the price? i estimate the price will be rm 290 when the mouse launch. Really? The Lachesis looks a lot more like the Boomslang. To me that is. I wonder what everyone else thinks.

QUOTE(poLar.T @ Dec 2 2007, 05:07 AM) since the thread is talking about mouses, i'm looking to buy a reasonable, big (heavy if possible) mouse. usually just use it to play WoW so would like to have at least 5-6 easily accesible buttons for hotkeys and stuff. don't really care bout other specs as i dont play cs or other things like dat. play rts games at the most that statement sounds like a copperhead, but i personally don't think its that big, its long, but narrow

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Dec 8 2007, 03:16 PM) I don't think it's more about which is better but which one your hand suits most. If its the sensor comparison then the Diamondback is much superior.

Very good gaming mice only comes in when sensor stability is in play. Any rm50 mouse might feel good and if you play at high sensitivity there is not much difference a gaming grade mouse can do.
Low sensitivity players need better sensors so their mice doesn't skip while in game. Low sens usually take bout 30-40cm to turn 360. I take bout 56 cm to turn 360 degree in CS:S and not many mice can keep up.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Dec 10 2007, 09:43 AM) the magic word would be how FAST you move the mouse, not how low your sens is. even if you take 100cm to turn 360, but most of the time you're just going forward, any cheap mouse can. but if you try doing fast 360 with low sens in much faster games like UT or Quake, say byebye to your cheap mouse. Aye, I missed that one out =/ Low sens in UT or Quake die lo the game too fast for low sens lol
