How to check whether you're still in contract?
Open this page:
https://occ.unifi.my/HSBBCustomerPortal/HSB...erPortal.portal

Login then click on the small arrow on the right of the Billing Account words, you'll see your contract start date like this:

Count 24 months from that date..

It should work right away.
Didn't you test everything while the installer is still there?

If still not working until now, call UniFi helpline at 1300-88-1221

Question: Can I reset my DIR 615 and replace it for this Rg4332? I'll just need unifi username and unifi password right?
Yes you can change the RG4332 to DIR-615 & yes you just need your UniFi PPPoE username & password.

I do have a spare UniFi router at home. Will it helps my connection issue?
I thought last time you're choosing between ASUS AC66U & AC68U.
What happened? blink.gif

Where can get my username and password??
You can only get your UniFi PPPoE username & password by calling UniFi helpline at 1300-88-1221

Do multiple verifications for the password as it's a gibberish mix of letters, numbers & symbols.

I am so noob
Usb port at the unifi ni can connect to thumbdrive ke?
Wanna watch movie that i downloaded on tv..
Boleh ke?
Thanks
The USB port on stock UniFi router is only for maintenance use by UniFi technician.
You're better off using a 3rd party UniFi router where you can do a lot more than just share the thumbdrives within the network.

Hi all, I heard unifi has new version of router / modem is it true?
Cause I am moving I not sure should I register as new applicant or apply for reallocate for Unifi.

Any comments?  hmm.gif
Relocate. Don't re-register.
UniFi puts higher priority on existing customers than new registrations.

If you're looking for a good router, you'll be better off with 3rd party routers such as ASUS & TP-Link.

Hi all,

am currently using the dlink orange default wireless router provided by telekom when i subscribed with VIP 20.

I would like to change the dlink into other device. Any Recommendation?

my house is about 3000 sq ft, and roughly about 8-10 devices connected (laptops, ipad and phones)

thinking of Asus RT-N66U, but should I go for it?
Go straight to RT-AC68U, like me.

The RT-N66U is still a good choice though.
Much better than any D-Link / TP-Link routers.

Is it OK if I get this Router ASUS RT-AC87U ?
If you can afford it then why not.
I've been using ASUS routers for years but i personally think anything higher than AC68U is overkill.
My whole family is using ASUS routers for me & we've never had any issue with any of the routers.
A total of 2 x RT-AC68U & 1 x RT-AC66U all in different houses & 1 x RT-N16 in my office.

But as I mentioned earlier, if you can afford the AC87U, then go straight ahead. smile.gif

OK..what you think about this Asus routers ASUS RT-N14UHP  and ASUS RT-N18U ?

Plan to get a good Asus router so can last me couple of years...

Heard RT-N16 was one of the best Asus router model and is no longer available..
RT-N18U is the replacement for RT-N16.
I'm not sure about RT-N18U as I've never tested it, but from the reviews, it's a real performer just like it's predecessor.
RT-N14UHP has a huge WiFi coverage but it has 2 biggest weakness:
1. RealTek chipset
2. No gigabit LAN

These 2 weakness maybe of no importance to some people but to me, they definitely turn me off.

Go to the nearest TM point in your area and check with them.
Easy peasy.

sorry i'm still new to unifi. do you switch on unifi 24/7 without rest?
I never turn off my UniFi except when I leave my house for more than 1 day (balik kampung, work oustation & etc).
There's no logical reason why you'd want to turn it off as they consumes very little power.
And since UniFi has no quota, who cares anyway?

hello, i wan to cancel my unifi. may i know is there any cancellation fee?
If your 24 months contract is over, then there won't be any termination charges.
But if you terminate before the contract is over, then you will be charged with RM500 penalty.
QUOTE(turion64 @ Jun 13 2015, 01:52 AM)
will they take anything back? ie. wifi router/fiber modem/cordless phone/fiber cable? just like to know first...thanks
If you terminate after the contract is finished, they will only ask you to return the BTU (Fiber Modem), the rest you can keep it for yourself.
If you want to terminate before the contract is over, then you'll have to return everything to them.

Hi, currently on streamyx rm88 4Mbps package and wish to switch to unifi, do I have to get another new fix line number to install unifi?
You can still keep the old number but at the same time, they will still provide you with a new number.

Asus RT-N66U is a bit overkill for home user no doubt is a good router...
No it's not.
All routers from ASUS is made for home use. Which model is suitable for your home depends on how thick is your wallet.

If your wallet is really thick, go for ASUS RT-AC3200. If not, then go for ASUS RT-N14UHP.

i ask in TM point kelana jaya. They told me 30 and 50mbps only avail for landed unit. Now read only 50 is avail for landed...then one of my friend live in condo, in sg long got offer for upgrade and he is in 10mbps package.  unsure.gif
TM point gave you the wrong information.
30Mb/s & 50Mb/s is not only for landed units.

30Mb/s & 50Mb/s is available for all type of homes that uses full fiber.
This includes landed house, new apartments & new condo's that uses Fibre instead of VDSL.
