No such thing as Centrino 2 Duo in the market. Even the upcoming Intel 'Santa Rosa' platform (update for the current Centrino Duo), its commercial name is not yet finalized.

So in that case buying the s2110 is on the safe side compared to the Compaq model, as the heat wouldn't be that.
I'm looking for the 60gig model because i use that rig for paperwork purposes only.

I was thinking of upgrading the 256 to 512 but don't know how much it cost...is it possible to add another 256 or do i need to buy a new 512?

I think you could buy a 256MB of RAM for it , or you could ask the shopkeeper to replace the 256MB with a 512MB.

thanks for the info....i went to lowyat yesterday, they said the model i'm looking for is not available in the market already! For the price of RM3,999 they are offering me

AMD Turion 64 1.8Ghz
80gig hdd
512mb RAM
and some free gifts too...

sony up to 8 hours normal batt and extended 12 hours. just take amd and save.

I sawa Vaio which is 13" selling at the price of rm3,999 too...it's centrino and build in 256ram....but the problem is that the model is an old model....
