QUOTE(cks2k2 @ Oct 2 2006, 08:29 AM) Oh if you have money to burn, go for the Centrino 2 Duo. Else Centrino Duo. Turion is cheap though but performance wise still lacking. No such thing as Centrino 2 Duo in the market. Even the upcoming Intel 'Santa Rosa' platform (update for the current Centrino Duo), its commercial name is not yet finalized.

So in that case buying the s2110 is on the safe side compared to the Compaq model, as the heat wouldn't be that. I'm looking for the 60gig model because i use that rig for paperwork purposes only.

I think you could buy a 256MB of RAM for it , or you could ask the shopkeeper to replace the 256MB with a 512MB.

QUOTE(cks2k2 @ Oct 2 2006, 08:29 AM) I doubt you can find a laptop that can run 8 hours straight. I'm using a Thinkpad with extra capacity battery and it gives me 4.5 hours only. Oh if you have money to burn, go for the Centrino 2 Duo. Else Centrino Duo. Turion is cheap though but performance wise still lacking. sony up to 8 hours normal batt and extended 12 hours. just take amd and save.
