Hi guys I would like to know the difference between Intel and AMD....does AMD have battery saving mode like Intel? AMD are famous for hot chips, so what if I run more than 4 hours?

I doubt you can find a laptop that can run 8 hours straight. I'm using a Thinkpad with extra capacity battery and it gives me 4.5 hours only.

Oh if you have money to burn, go for the Centrino 2 Duo. Else Centrino Duo. Turion is cheap though but performance wise still lacking.

it's easy....just take out the battery use adaptor.....but i'm afraid ofthe heat only....! If AMD's heat gone wild then i'm so dead!

So in that case buying the s2110 is on the safe side compared to the Compaq model, as the heat wouldn't be that.
I'm looking for the 60gig model because i use that rig for paperwork purposes only.

I think you could buy a 256MB of RAM for it , or you could ask the shopkeeper to replace the 256MB with a 512MB.
