If you buy from Apple store direct, nothing to worry about. DHL will send goods as DDP - all taxes are paid by Apple, not you the receiver.

If it's held by customs it would say so, not just "Shipment on Hold"

Shipment on hold could mean it missed an expected connection (eg. from KL hub to delivery depot) or it's just awaiting the next connection etc.

Nothing to worry about, just relax smile.gif

In this your it's arrived at sorting facility (means already passed customs) and awaiting movement from Sort to Delivery facility. From delivery facility it gets delivered to you - depending on your area connection probably missed hence on hold until the next one

All the people saying it's held by customs are wrong doh.gif doh.gif

No problem. I guess you'll receive it on Monday. DHL main hub for imports is in KL, so it will probably move with the next load to Penang delivery depot smile.gif

DHL "shipment on hold" possible reasons

1. Miss a flight, a truck and is waiting for the next one.
2. Fail to locate your address. Trust me, it sometimes does.
3. Under physically inspected. Such as trademark or copyright stuff related.
4. Encounter holidays and weekends during delivery process.
5. Sender paid for economy shipping and is schedule to go out next day.
6. There is something to check from the sender (a zip code or something) before continuing delivery.

Conclusion: For most of the time, this is no big deal especially if your packages cleared customs. If you are still worried about this, then calling dhl customer service would be a great choice.

Good luck TS! I think buy from Malaysia would have been cheaper and easier for warranty. Now need to pay tax, duit kopi and SIRIM.

Only Subang custom office follow proper rules. Penang Kastam is corrupt so good luck.
