Call DHL up to ask them. Most probably it's at the Customs, considering that the cost is >RM500.

If the customs duties + stamp duties are less than RM400, DHL will pay them on your behalf & demand from you when they delivered it to your doorstep. If you think it's too expensive & want to dispute with customs, then ask the delivery guy to return it since DHL will not dispute it for you.

If it's more than RM400, then most probably DHL will call you to make yourself present at the customs so that you can either dispute or pay it on the spot.

You buy from Apple Malaysia online store right?
Then no need to worry about Kastam or tax. You can contact Apple for more details.

I tot if TS bought from Apple Store (i.e. Apple website), it should be all settled? No meh? Lucky last time I order 5 units Iphone (for office use lah), so far no kena tahan.

I think they hold it there bcoz wanna collect data (serial number/IMEI/MAC address/etc) and send it to SKMM. Its for their record.

They probably hold it for 1 day oni.

Last time I buy ipad mini online, it arrived safely. No need to pay anything extra.

Then after 1 week I received a letter from SKMM which included a SKMM sticker. Tell me to stick it at the back but I throw it away.

If you buy from Apple store direct, nothing to worry about. DHL will send goods as DDP - all taxes are paid by Apple, not you the receiver.

If it's held by customs it would say so, not just "Shipment on Hold"

Shipment on hold could mean it missed an expected connection (eg. from KL hub to delivery depot) or it's just awaiting the next connection etc.

Nothing to worry about, just relax

In this your it's arrived at sorting facility (means already passed customs) and awaiting movement from Sort to Delivery facility. From delivery facility it gets delivered to you - depending on your area connection probably missed hence on hold until the next one
