Hi Guys,
Just to check with you all, my tank had been aged 2 week time, but suddenly the water smell like sulfur and the water look a bit cloudy. Just done a 90% water change, but the sulfur smell still there, according to some forum, this was cause by those serious bad water bacteria buildup, need to clean up and clear the whole tank, heart break lah..... Any taiko can provide advise on this matter? Thanks. |

Hi bartbarb,
Few fish and few plants only, fish had been transfer to other tank because 3 x ember tetras were died. Based on other forum, to pump more O2 and wc will help. Guess like i need to wait for the whole tank to complete the cycle. |

Hi jctasoga,
My tank is a 60cm x30 x25. The filter is always running. Agreed that the cloudy water was cause by the bacteria bloom. After I increase aeration (add in more O2), the cloudy water isseu setlle. Actually my fish dead was due to no enough O2. LOL. The following were some link for your reference: http://www.oscarfish.com/water/71-autotrop...-manifesto.html http://www.oscarfish.com/article-home/wate...c-bacteria.html Now I am facing the plant melting issue, after done some pre-check, found out the water temp might be the cause, 34° C. After put a Fan on it, now water temp reduce to 31° C. Hope that the plant can survive and grow. |

QUOTE(artsyfarty @ Aug 20 2015, 05:14 PM) Nice one Wow, Nice....I too starting a high tech 60x30x36 planted tank, here's the layout at the moment. ![]() I'll fill the back with 3 species of rotala from blood red, red to green, hm in the middle and monte carlo/HC as carpet plant. That's the plan, I hope it executes alright. Getting them this saturday. |
