QUOTE(chickunburrito @ Feb 8 2020, 06:57 PM) i see. but the kitten's teeth not coming out yet. she only have fangs right now. actually i tried to give her dry food yesterday but it seems like shes not interested.. I'll try to bring her to vet soon.. may i ask why avoid dry food for adult cat? You should feed replacement milk for kitten. Sound like that kitten not wean yet. Adult cat food, either wet or dry, have different composition of nutrients in it.

QUOTE(softoperator @ Mar 1 2020, 03:59 PM) I found stray cat moving his babies about 2-3 week old at the back of my house. Now put her into proper place inside. What food to give the mom. Do some search say need to give kitten food instead adult. 1. Purina one kitten 2. Iams kitten 3. Reflex plus No rc or orijen please. Can give recommendation. Thanks I'm familiar with no 1 & heard about no 2. You can go with either. Green also have one for mom and kitten. That is good too.

My local pet store owner told me just now that pet store - selling pet food - not allowed to open during restricted movement order. Did anyone hear same thing from your pet store?

This doesn't mean anything if police wasn't told. Owner of pet store told me that a police officer have told him not to open the store otherwise he can get in trouble with the law. He only allowed, if anyone call him to buy pet food to come in the morning or afternoon & only have 1/2 hour each. Close right away after that. For Customer like me that he can deliver the goods to my house will not be a problem though.

PM, MKN/NSC & MOH have the final say I think & police listen to them. For example, MOH decided face mask is not compulsory & police listened. I think ministries also have say too. Like, originally wet market is not allowed to operate but now allowed. Ministry need to involved personally convincing MKN/NSC in order the support latter above have any effect. Even a pet food supplier voice his concern on pet food supply because their factory weren't allowed to operate during MCO. I read this at msn news website.

QUOTE(Ifrits @ Apr 17 2020, 02:20 PM) Hey all. Anyone using an air purifier at home? I'm looking to get one for my living hall as my cat sleeps in the living hall. I intend to get one with the aim of removing order and trapping cat's hair and dander. Litter box is also in living hall as well. I'm using tofu litter and I clean daily. But overnight, the hall smells very tofu-ish. So hence, hoping that an air purifier would solve this problem. I'd appreciate any recommendations! Thanks! I think air dehumidifier is better choice for the job. Air purifier should ok too but the reason I think dehumidifier is better for the job because it remove moisture from the air & therefore lower the humidity level. This should help litter to dry better. Of course for it to work properly, it depends on how big the room is. Pretty much like aircond, big room require big aircond. Same thing with dehumidifier. Neither air purifier nor dehumidifier can trap hair & dander.

QUOTE(Ifrits @ Apr 20 2020, 02:38 AM) Thanks! Eh, but I've been reading all the adverts tht says it can trap pet hair and dander. are those just marketing gimmick then? For instance, lombok 2 from coway and some sharp air purifier. Seems quite legit. Maybe some dust, cat fur, etc but don't expect it'll catch all cat fur. You still need to vacuum the carpet & floor to get rid majority of cat fur.

QUOTE(abc_123learner @ May 30 2020, 09:38 AM) Hello. I have a 11 months old kitten, male and neutered. Playful active etc. Just wondering if anyone here has issues with their cat vomitting? I've encountered 2 types of vomit colour. 1 is food colour (dark brown as I feed him carnilove salmon kitten) another is yellowish/greenish colour with a bit (just a bit) of foam/bubbles). I spoke to the vet but vet said its nothing for me to be concerned of. Sometimes just hairball and all. But in the past 1 week, he vomited twice in yellowish/greenish colour. I roughly googled, and I understand that it might be my cat's bile juice. I only feed him twice a day. Should I be concerned? I don't see any cat's fur in the greenish/yellowish vomit tho. :/ If vet said so then you don't need to worry. Twice in one week is nothing to concern about. Your cat may eat too fast... Many owner experiencing similar issue. If your cat vomit right after eating, try feed your cat smaller amount. Regularly groom your cat. This way will reduce the amount of hair he ingested.

QUOTE(turtleundersea @ Jun 5 2020, 04:21 PM) Got two cats...Can I use one cat home/cage for two cats? Or must buy two? Can give suggestions where to buy cat home, not cat cage... I'm looking for the type that similar to house where got place for cat to sleep and pee/pangsai (put cat sand) And price estimation also Cat home? Do you mean like dog house? There's no need one because they wont use it. Where do you you live? Try look at pet shop. Cat litter box can cost between RM40 to 70 or more depending on the brand & design, hooded or not hooded. Or you can use plastic container box available cheap at hardware shop. Also can modify plastic storage box. Attached image(s)

QUOTE(turtleundersea @ Jun 15 2020, 12:31 PM) cats and dogs are omnivore like human. Cats are true/obligate carnivores. Cats obtain key nutrients from meat & this including taurine, vitamin A and vitamin B12 which can not sufficiently obtain from plant-based food. They can get sick if they cannot get steady & sufficient supply of these nutrients. For cats & dogs nutrition needs, you don't experiment without consulting veterinary-trained nutritionist.

QUOTE(turtleundersea @ Jun 16 2020, 09:33 AM) alright, well noted... thanks for the info... Some homemade cat food contain small amount of veggie like carrot (boiled). They helps in digestive system & the vitamins also useful for cats. But only as supplement/snack & feed in moderation. It can lead to health issue if feed too much. The main diet still must contain meat.

Cat flu is pretty tough for kitten & old cats to handle. Usually for kitten like 4 weeks or younger, they usually don't survive.

I would give 24 hours. If after that still don't want to eat, bring your cat to vet.
You can try offer some yummy treats, tuna, boiled chicken or chicken liver.

QUOTE(doraemontan @ Aug 18 2020, 10:49 PM) Hi i m bring my cat from Sabah to KL in Sep... I would like to seek advices from all of u here on which cat crate/carrier should I get to carry my cat on plane ? I already have one unit but it seems can be easily opened and can’t be locked The ordinary one is sturdy. See below. The bottom & upper body are attached using set of screws. This way it won't accidentally fall apart when you carry it. The Catit cat carrier also have holes which you can use screws to further secure the carrier.

QUOTE(Alert_RaZO @ Sep 26 2020, 05:24 AM) I neutered my cat last week. I have problem in healing the wound. After 1 week, the wound bernanah. Everyday i clean it twice. Put kon on her head. How to dry and heal the wound quickly? Yeah, like basilisk just said, bring to the vet. They will give you cream to put on it. Maybe give you some antibiotic tablets as well. Don't worry.

QUOTE(basilisk @ Oct 1 2020, 01:18 PM) Finally, the dreaded " block " happened. And the vet bill cost over RM500 for a normal private clinic. huhu.. Normal hours, charges, not 'emergency' hours.. Later I will break down the cost... Blockage? UTI?
