Urgent
Is this kutu?

1. I didn't realise this outside cat got kutu, i share towel with indoor cat. Will it infect?
2. Can frontline combo kill very fast?
3. This kutu can bite human?
4. I bath, scratch and comb cannot get rid the tiny on the kitten. How?
*
They doesn't look like kutu. Multiple bath should do the trick. Don't bath/rinse too quickly. Spent time more massaging the whole body so that the soupy water penetrate & kill all that parasite, especially on the tail.

Kitten look too young for using any kind of poison.

Confirm kutu... The mother cat alot hide in deep.
The frontline spray cat can lick?

During the bath cannot see kutu. Then when dry them up only can see. I use comb, finger to pull the kutu no success. It stick there
*
I personally don't use spray. Even though it is less strong than drops-on-the-neck kind, it is strong enough poison. So don't let your cat lick it. Your kitty is too small for using any kind of poison. I know it is a lot of work but I also give kitty like this multiple bath to get rid fleas. Coconut oil also helps in taking care their skin from getting dry & also soothe their skin. But don't put too much or too frequent to avoid overdose.

apek1989 can try that for 24 hours but not really a good strategy IMO. Unfortunately it doesn't always works on all cats. Some cats can be stubborn which they'll eat when too hungry but they eat too little & become skinny and malnourished.

I would suggest try different brand because that kitty already have bad experience with current food & it can remember this forever. Don't feed too much. It is good idea to follow the recommendations print out on the packet; amount based on weight/age.

Hello everyone, I need some help. There are two stray cats that loiter around outside my home. One is a mother cat and the other is her offspring, a white male cat with blue eyes. The mother has been spayed (paid for by our family) but we can't keep them because we have other family members who are severely allergic to cat dander. I tried contacting Katzen Cat Sanctuary but received no response. Is there anyone willing to adopt or rehome these cats? Please help.

Ok, I'll try again tomorrow. Do they come to your home to rescue these cats or do we bring them to Katzen? The reason I ask is because I'm allergic to cat dander as well and my sister-in-law (who is able handle cats) is in labour now and she will have to concentrate on her new baby.

I don't know. Try explain your problem. They maybe able to help.

any cat lovers here with allergic reaction to cats? what do you do to counter it?
*
I don't know anyone with this problem personally but I have found few people on the YouTube who allergic to cat but fostering or owning a cat/kitten. They dealing this by taking medicine. Still I think it's depends on how severe your allergic reaction is. What kind of allergic reaction you get, I'm kinda curious?

its not me but my son. he will sneeze very frequently for few hours after coming in contact with cat
*
In that case, I think it is better to avoid having cat at all. The best way is to get advice from doctor. Some people can suppress their allergic reaction by taking meds everyday. I don't know whether it is good idea for your son to take meds everyday.

Maybe feeling itchy on her body, something under the fur bothering her, that's why lick too much until wet. Try groom her using a brush. Maybe can help her relief her from the itchy sensation. One of my boy like this. He is curious boy like to investigate every nook and cranny of the house. Inviting ants or other small animal that bother him.

Do you mean drolling or just wet floor. If the latter that's normal.

true lol they used to eat whatever. i wish i can just feed my cat rice + boiled fish lmao. they dont even eat fresh boiled fish sleep.gif but dont mind eating wet food fish.
*
You can try add the bones+head from the boiled fish. Don't throw away the water that you use to boiled the fish but cool it down to room temperature & use it to blend the bones+head using a blender. Mix/mesh the rice, fish meat & the fish broth you just made together. Optionally add little bit RAW or cooked chicken liver to it.

5 days ago i bring home a female kitten.
My male cat has been attacking the kitten non stop.
Tried following youtube instructions on how to introduce them. But still not showing results.
How long will this take..... i m getting very tired of my male cat behavior..
*
Basically it takes time. How long depends on the cats. How old is your male cat? You don't introduced them right away. Start by separating them first. Caged the kitten. This way the kitten is protected from the aggresive cat but both can smell each other.

Nope. I m against neutering at this age. Maybe after 5 years

Male is 6 months. Female 3 months.
Big size difference...

OK. Male cat become matured around 1 year old sometime earlier. When they matured they will start spraying everywhere. That's why it is advice to neutered male cat earlier, at very late around 6 to 8 months old, or before they turned 1 year old. Why? Once they start spraying, the longer you wait, it will become a habit, part of their behaviour. Because of this they continue to spray urine even after neutered.

And I didn't talk about when they get female cat pregnant yet.

For male cat, the vet just need to make small cut on the male cat's ball sack, to remove the balls. It heals in 3 to 4 days. Go to Gov veterinary clinic because it is cheaper.

I m asking bout how to calm down the kitties from fighting.... why all toking bout breeding?.... all must spay cat before can discuss here ker?...

You asked question & people answered. Probably the answer not clear enough. Remember about what I said when cat matured? Let me try again. Cats are territorial animals & spraying is to mark their territory, as a warning to another cats. In another words, they become more aggressive towards other cats even with their siblings.

Like I said cats can get along just need time. This only have a chance to work with young kitten & neutered cats. Maybe with female cats too because they less aggressive than male.

I have seen cats less than a year old matured & your cat already 6 months old. Maybe they can get along before the male matured but when the male matured, he can become aggressive again either because territory or he want to mate. You already got tired now because of the male attacking. Do you get my drift?

Do whatever you want to do. If you against neutering because you think it is a sin, that's fine. Hopefully when your cat start giving birth to too many kittens, you didn't throw them away because it is a sin too if they died horribly or get abused.

Seager I honestly have no experience with fur mites. For skin irritation on cat I use DE & coconut oil. Try coconut oil after a bath, just a dab, on the affected area, once a week. Don't do it everyday & in just small amount to prevent overdose.

How do you apply DE? My concern is if DE dries skin up even more, so I'm not sure if my actions of rubbing DE on the scaly skin actually makes it more itchy. Besides, my cat will just end up licking it all off... I think coconut oil may help the wounds heal, not sure about eliminating mites though.. will giv it a shot!
*
I rub DE on the fur until it reach the skin.i use DE mainly on kitten (after give them a bath) because for adult I just use drops type medicine for fleas. I also use DE if my cats feels itchy not because of fleas, in the hope it can kill whatever creature that bothering them. DE can dry up the skin & on flaky skin can make it more itchy. Actually the reason I suggest coconut oil is to help moisturised the skin. Basically I go back and forth between the two, so that their skin not too dry.

Did you clean the environment, where your cat hangout? Mop with soapy water. I also apply DE on the place where I can't access like between cabinets or behind it.

I have broadline too, but .. I can only apply it on her probably 2-3 weeks from now as I've applied Frontline on her twice over the last couple of weeks. I had also visited a vet closely to my office, and she provided some good advise to be patient, shower her with medicated soap and use Broadline when suitable. It seems Frontline spot on is starting to lose efficacy, which is why new products come out every couple of years - in this case Broadline.

I bought some sulphur soap, and also ordered Ivermectin to treat her..  will see how it goes.
*
Yeah i noticed this too. In 6 to 7 years, i changed brand once because the old one not effective anymore. Also they start pulling the old ones slowly. Forgot the name but it was siamese product.

For the environment, i also put soapy water in several small trays & hide them in strategic places like under the cabinet & cage. I use dish soap because it is safer. I have been doing this for a couple of years & it have been doing good job in catching small insects including fleas that would cause distress to my cat. I top off the trays with water every a couple of days. Don't need to add more dish soap because it last a long time, maybe once in a while. The only downside is that dirt can caught in it & make it look dirty.

hi all I need advice. few days ago i found a kitten on the street, she was so weak and i took her home. ive been feeding her purina felix kitten wet food and i noticed her poop is soft/liquid with a little bit of well formed poop. is this normal or not?
*
This usually happen but don't let this to continue. Kitten can died if this continue. This is why I like to give dry food for kitten instead of wet food for new rescued kitten. Avoid dry food for adult cat too. I would suggest bring the kitten to vet for deworming.
