Reposting this again because I did not get a response in my previous post. :'(

Hi everyone. I am looking for a kitten for my mum because she is lonely at home and wants a cat. However, she only wants a rag doll because one of her friends has it. I was wondering do you guys know any reputable breeder for ragdolls? I do not mind paying a premium as long as the breeder is responsible, clean and treat their cats humanely. I am located in the Klang Valley area but I do not mind traveling to the cat breeder. Thank you so much!
*
no one here knows any ragdoll breeder, thts y you din get any response.

most member here adopt street cats, as you can see..
we strongly encourage/advice everyone to adopt dont shop.

dont hv to talk long winded, cos all the infos are out there for you to search... sekian..

They almost never state it on the food containers, but there are websites that do the analysis based on the ingredients. Unless you want to google each one and estimate the %.

QUOTE(jess7 @ Jun 12 2020, 04:58 PM)
hello there, yup they don't state the carbs % on the can.
What I do:
100% - protein% - fat% - moisture% - fibre% = carbs %

some brands reports in a negative % of carbs  laugh.gif
so for those brands, i would have to look into the ingredients.
*
okie thx for the explanation,
shud hv tot of tht...biggrin.gif

can cats consume dog biscuits?

my intention is to save cost, but if its affect their health, i dont mind buy cat biscuits...
i got two dogs at home, aged around 6 months, also stray dogs
*
might affect their health in the long run..

even cheap cat food, the protein mostly plant base.

try to shop for cheaper brands,
whats the cheapest you can get for cat kibble?

the 27% protein dog biscuits in my previous post, i also see some shiny salt-like thing in it also, my dogs also loose some fur, but i duno how to compare with pedigree as i never buy it...
but their fur very cantik and shinny...
*
so it all depends on your budget.

cat suppose to eat more protein than dogs.
normal cheap brand state ( if true la ) 30-32% protein
one of the cheapest cat kibble wit ok ingredient (if true)
is maxi premium, 20kg for rm145, the cheapest you can get in kl, i blif..
tht is rm7.25 per kg.
and thts if tht cats will eat it...

Very sorry to be spamming but I really would love to discuss about cat food with some other owners as I am really alone in this matter.
I also came across this local brand:
https://shopee.com.my/misha.os

Chicken&Tuna 8kg RM53.90 (RM6.73/KG)
WHAT A BARGAIN!

First 5 ingredients
Makanan ikan (Ikan lautan, tuna), makanan laut dehidrasi, serbuk daging (lembu), makanan kacang soya, gluten jagung

Nutrition
P32%  F15% M9% Fib4% C40%

They even have 20kg packaging  brows.gif
*
i would avoid misha + power cat.
cos their ingredient labeling is kinda suspicious,
n both smells like human ' makanan ringan°
i went to the fair n smell all the cat kibbles, one by one...

Not sure as I wasn't there personally.
Yeah, we customers can check online pricing and decide whether to buy from them or not.
So far, I've been buying online as the local pet shops around me are really expensive.
*
if youre in klang valley n dont mind travel abit, can go to tmn permata cheras.. there.. n of cos nid to do price check with them first to c worth to go ornot.. thts wht i do..

Thank you so much for your feedback!
You are saving me alot of time! I guess the pricing is just too good to be true for quality cat food.
If they were to give samples during expo, i would love to smell and take a small piece to try  tongue.gif

oh really?
then i should check whatever is within my budget at the pet shop i normally go...

does cat has specific how many % of everything(protein, carb, fiber, etc) need to follow?
*
protein is most important, cat should only eat animal protein.
tht is the most ideal n luxurious state la of cos..

but for feeders tht go around feeding street cats, only can afford cheapest kibble ..

then cats live with humans for ?? thousands of years, i dont think human give them meat all the time,
so cats have adapted long time ago.. esp street cats..

simply because i'm vege...
as my understanding, dogs dont need that much protein once reached 1 yr old...
if have plant based dog food please share it to me...
*
i hvnt checkout plant based dog food for a long time.
long ago addiction or avoderm... i forgot which.. already..
now not even sure if there is any.

you should check online, n formulate a vege diet for your dog.
thts the best you can do.

normally u feed cat, u finished the whole can or put back to fridge and continue next day?
and next day when u feed cat, u "warm up" the cat food then only give them or straight give them?
is it okay to feed them cold food?
*
cold is not palatable compared to room temp at least.
same as ' would u eat ur food cold right out frm the fridge?'

this really depends on ppl, i got no issue eat cold food...
anyway, every morning before work and after back to home, i take out the canned food and wait for a while before giving them.
after i put into their bowl, i will mixed and kacau until i dont see any frozen like texture on the canned food...
*
if the cat eats, then u will save abit of time.
most ppl warm úp the food for pets, cos its more palatable.

i dont feed wet food often. but i wont worry about storing the wet food for a few days in the fridge, if contamination/bacteria growth is the main concern.
