Hi, can anyone recommend good cat boarding services around klang valley area for total of 8 cats.. Need for 5 days from 3rd to 8th of May coz outstation unable to bring my cats along..

*One cat needs special attention, need to spoon feed her coz of health issue but i can send her alone to boarding at vet if unable to find suitable caretaker*

**Not necessary but best if the caretaker also has experience + able to boarding for 2 medium size dogs (not special breed, easy to take care, both are very gentle dogs and never ever harm any cats)**

Any recommendations is greatly appreciated, my usual boarding place is with a vet at old klang road (RM35/cat/day RM50/dog/day) but due to the numbers of pets im boarding and some cats with special condition this time, im tryin my luck here to see if anyone has better recommendations
*
be careful of pet sitters esp those frm app start-up..

ive seen one case the dog is lost under the sitter care, it is very obvious many tht sign up dont hv experience..

its gona be costly youve got 8+2?

but a vet boarding tht charge 35/day is too much. tht is equal to kitten cottage's condo.
tht cocomomo list price is even higher..

not many legit / experienced pet boarding esp for cat.
recent case pet sitter operate frm home, lost customer cats.. u dont want tht to happen..

Yea, i do notice there's alot of personal pet caretaker or pet nanny type of services lately, but its really difficult to find one that i could trust, if there isn't too much options maybe i will just stick with the vet, im aware of the cost for 8+2 hahaha, used to the pricey boarding/vet bill since years ago so i've already prepared enough funds.
Btw, just asking, has anyone went to the UPM veterinary lately? I haven't been there for quite sometime, not sure if UPM Veterinary provide boarding service or not ya?
*
if you r comfortable n trust ur vet, good.

but if the boarding is like this and cost rm35/day. then it is too expensive.

thx for sharing. keep it up biggrin.gif

that origin n tenten.. cat food... i suspect is frm thai or vietnam, some drĂ½ pet food could also be frm china nowadays...

but tenten's ingredient list is too impressive, not sure to believe it ornot... LOL...

at rm8.75 per kg, it beats all supermarket brand?

first 4 ingredient is of animal origin ( not sure if they follow the order list by weight rule ), surpass other famous brands.. biggrin.gif

too good to be true... i want to believe..

tofu cat litter, not sure first originated from which country, china ? japan? korea?

those available in the market today are all oem from china.

marketed as made from tofu, or is it more correctly soy by products from the process of making tofu ??? biggrin.gif

corn starch is added to make the clumping possible.

the plus point apart from produced from natural plant based source,

when added to alot of water, it mixed into a suspension, making it ideal for flushing down the toilet.

still kinda pricey, but can find sellers online selling for less than rm16 per bag.

that is almost the same price as some clay litter, like multicat.

hopefully price will go down even further in the future..

Hi, want to ask, is there any shelters/vet clinics that do tnr with a discount near bangi/kajang/putrajaya?

There are tons of cats near my workplace and the moms keep popping babies after babies
*
shelters dont offer spaying/neutering, the take to vet to get it done.

if you intend to bring those strays to klinik, u hv to ask all those klinik tht you can find in the above area, tell them it is stray n compare the price. get the ear snip to mark it as spayed/neutered.

you can post a question in various animal rescue fb groups, to get those kliniks, like miar/ mddb/ sahabat kucing jalanan/ malaysian chinese loves cats etc etc..

here is one klinik to start with..
u call them to check the price...

anyone tried Orijen? Is it a good dry food for cats?
*
good ornot.. actually depends on ur cat..

if ur cat refuse to eat it.. lol.. biggrin.gif

origen - claimed to be one of the best pet kibble, made in canada by champions pet food.
so popular tht nestle is offering millions(over 2billion usd) to buy it.
so far they claim they are not selling it.

currently my hse cats r testing acana..

orijen/acana claim - made in house frm their own facility, so they can quality control everything.

many other food is just a brand name. the food is made by a contract factory.

i think tis is the cheapest price u can get in kl... during sale period.

orijen contains alot of different ingredient.. some cat cant tolerate.. shit will be not solid..

Is acana better than royal canin? I know rc has abit of grain in their products but their level of protein is lower than either orijen or acana. If I feed my cats orijen (high protein kibble), is it likely that they get UTI or kidney disease? (too much protein)
*
if comparing ingredient. rc is actually using cheaper stuffs but rc price is very high..

one claim to prevent uti is to feed cat with all animal protein, this will make the urine more acidic...

two claim, uti is bcos cat dont drink enuff water. thts y some only feed wet/can food to cats.

u can trick the cat drink more water by giving it homemade broth.. like sup tulang frm chicken / fish etc.

make sure dont add any salt or other stuff.

jz the smell alone will make them drink it.. hopefully..

for me i soak the kibble in alot of water, they dont care they eat.

and exercise them alot., they also will drink more water.
compared to indoor cats tht do nothing whole day sitting in ac...

cannot feed hight protein, only if the kidney is diseased.. if healthy high protein wont cause kidney problem.. u can google..

just wondering, those cats that got FLUTD on kibbles, what brand were you using? Certain brands such as friskies contain high levels of sodium and colouring I think.
*
sodium + colouring is not the main cause of flutd..

if you say high level.. how high??
there needs to be a figure to compare.

some sodium makes it tastier but they wont be so stupid to dump alot of salt into cat food, there is no extra benefit n it wont save them $$$

If the cat survived, it already immune to the virus for any further infections. Vaccination no longer needed. However if you're going to add cat in the environment, you'll need to vaccinate them beforehand.
*
the normal cat vaccine is a 4 in one vaccine.

might be immune to 1 , not other 3.

summore most vet support yearly booster..
tho some doesnot agree to yearly...

what biscuit is good for old aged cat? Age around 14 like that.
*
14 yo cat need to make sure doesnt have any health conditions, by doing full blood test

tht shows liver , renal functions etc.

mostly ignored is dental issues, 14yo, dental problems most likely hv,

so if feed hard kibbles is a torture for old cats. if it doesnt know how to telan without crushing...
