IV's:
A hidden stat that is determined upon capture or hatching of the pokemon. Can range from 0-31. A pokemon with 31's in each stat is considered a Max-Gene Pokemon. These stats can be influenced by breeding because the baby pokemon receives 2 IV's from it's mother and 2 from it's father. The rest are random. The baby Pokemon might only inherit 3 IV's from it's parents because it inherited the same IV from both parents. There are IV calculators at various sites and they used to be called DV's. EV's: A hidden stat which is changed by battling pokemon. Along with the experience you gain you will gain between 1-3 Effort Points. These can be increased by Vitamins also(to be discussed in a later section). EV's are also given to pokemon who never saw battle but have the Exp. Share equipped, but you obtain all the EV's that would be given instead of half, like experience. The max EV's any pokemon can have is 510 with the max in any given stat as 255. Every 4 EV's equal 1 stat point at level 100 so having 255 EV's in one stat is a waste of 3 EV's. credit to gamefaqs forumer Xgamer4, i just simply grab and paste it here |

QUOTE Japan: New Pokemon Title shifts over 1.5 Million in FOUR days! The latest sales figures out of japan reveal the DS game 'Pokemon Diamond & Pearl' sold nearly just shy of 1.6 MILLION units in only four days across Japan. The same game is expected to hit North America in 2007 and should experience the high level of success as experienced in Japan already. Worrying stuff |

QUOTE(Phoenix_Cypher_K1 @ Oct 5 2006, 09:32 PM) Only two consoles in the top 10, 7 NDS and 3 PS2....lol... maybe they want to avoid the situation where children of mana was over stock and it has hit the bargain bin not long after it was released. the hype with ff3 is indeed out of their expectation.Yeah, I pity FF3, it's still hit with shortages. |
