QUOTE(Saigo @ Mar 28 2008, 11:43 PM) ah I see =.=" how long do you reckon it would take to heal? if u've taken it out more than few hours, since ur piercing is like 2 weeks old - the hole has closed i'm afraidCrap I think my piercing just closed? wtf. It was bleeding slightly earlier, and now my 'hole' looks like a black dot and if I had to guess, I think my blood dried in it or something? What should I do about it? u want to have the hole back? wait for few months for it to heal completely b4 gettin' it repierced - but using needles this time |

QUOTE(Jyezze @ Mar 28 2008, 11:10 PM) cause guns cause much more trauma to the skin with blunt force of the gun pushing the jewellery through our flesh creating much swollen areas and bleeding actualli also the piercing hole is created, with the flesh being push to the back of the ear (in the case of piercing ear lobe, or ear cartilage) - as opposed to needle, where the flesh is removed on the spot, creating an immediate piercing hole, creating no pressure for the jewellery to fit in This post has been edited by ninelives1980: Mar 29 2008, 01:01 AM |

QUOTE(Saigo @ Mar 29 2008, 01:11 AM) Wow a few months is a long period.. thanks for the advice. Do you think one month is a good enough period? a visit to a proper piercing shop and let your ear lobe be checked by the piercer (professional one of course) ...could enable him or her to tell you whether your lobe has fully healed - for me, i've known how to check myself since i've visited my piercer for like umpteenth time |

QUOTE(PeNNyPupZ @ Apr 2 2008, 01:54 PM) i think u meant to say snakebites.....yea i was gonna do it , but then again i thought would be too cluttering for my face, so i just left it be with a side lip for an entire year nowp.s. the 'complete' collection would be 'spiderbites' - snakebites, plus a centre labret or lip ring This post has been edited by ninelives1980: Apr 2 2008, 11:50 PM |

QUOTE(PeNNyPupZ @ Apr 2 2008, 01:54 PM) naw it won't heal after a year (proper ones would heal after 3 months or so....not sure but it's around there) cos it was pierced the proper way but using the improper jewellery material (which the piercer claimed is surgical steel, which i found out later it's just plain stainless steel with a lot of imperfections on its surface) all the while - that was my first needle piercing b4 i found a more responsible and trustable piercerp.s. u havin' barbell or ring now - wat jewellery type u plan to wear when that piercing has healed? QUOTE(raine69 @ Apr 4 2008, 02:21 PM) i had my navel piercing done yesterday. question : do i need to apply anything on it now ? or is the baby oil for after healing usage only ? thanks. i'm not into belly piercing - but belly piercing's supposed to be done with a ring first before switching to barbell - due to reasons which i do not know. where have u got this done? it's best to refer to your piercer for aftercare instructions. generally, for barbells, we would manipulate both ball / jewellery ends in pushing the barbell upwards and downwards, whilst cleaning through hot shower (not too hot though). ... we clean healing barbell piercings like once or twice a day. after the piercing has healed quite a bit, say about 2 weeks, then you could apply antibacterial soap around the piercing areas, and clean them thoroughly then using hot shower, by pushing the barbell upwards and downwards. after cleaning, pat dry your piercing with tissue and/or cottonbud thoroughly. for my healed piercings, i simply clean them by brushing my fingers across the jewelleries' surfaces, under hot shower..and that's that not sure on the baby oil - as i've never used them for my piercings. though vitamin e oil does promote in restoring your skin to its natural self. hope that helps. oh yea, do not take out ur jewellery whilst cleaning - most piercing jewelleries do not require taking out to clean except for ear tunnels and plugs. the other one that requires taking out would be those studs with 'butterfly' stoppers at the back of the stud

QUOTE(mthc @ Apr 4 2008, 09:33 PM) What if yr labret piercing heals already and u dont take care of it anymore? Will it cause infection? What are the aftercares?? Clean with Dettol arr?? infection wouldn't happen unless you deliberately touch it with dirty hands - or prolly knock the piercing real hard against something - it would bleed but not necessarily get infection come to think about itthis actualli applies to every piercing ....like if you hit your non pierced skin against something it might get bruise or bleed....so the same applies to pierced areas. |

QUOTE(spunkberry @ Apr 7 2008, 04:36 AM) wow a daith...I thought of getting one but I decided on the rook. Now I just need to get up the guts AND find the time. I'm still dreaming about that third tattoo...LOL far fetched dream it seems guess it'd be simpler if you just go straight to the piercer and let him/her pierce right away - that's how i do it everytime - works for me though had my conch pierced and stretched (16G to 14G) - last week, 8 days ago - it was the most painful piercing ever i've got, to date |
