Why did you remove it so quickly?? You should wait for at least a week before removing it. So did you managed to put it back in? It'll bleed a little I guess..

am wondering if anyone looking for piercing jewelleries - since i'm buying some soon - might be getting cheaper prices and all

PM me the jewelleries u're looking letting me know in terms of:

- mm (gauge)
- design preferred
- color (the finishing)

available are anything from:
- retainers (piercing hiders for any parts of your body)
- hider plugs (those that hides ur stretched/gauged piercings)
- organic tunnels & plugs (wood, horn - i don't do acryllic and sillicone though they're much cheaper; due to health reasons)
- spirals
- spikes
- claws
- hoops

ALL JEWELLERIES ARE MADE OF ORGANIC materials that are meant for healthy piercings - unlike those you see a lot locally (in shopping mall booths and even SOME piercing studio - i've encountered one not sure bout others, but i'm not gonna name that single studio mentioned since it's biz anywho)

My piercings:
Lobes x2
Navel
Nipples x2
Tongue web
Industrial (left ear)
Anti-tragus (left ear)

Wanted a tongue piercing but there's a thick vein running through the centre of my tongue so no sad.gif .

I'm thinking of getting a full back piece similar to this

Would like a rough estimate of how much it'll cost and how long would it take for it to be finished. Thanks ^__^

firenos90 --> From Mr. Wiki as per below, and go see your piercer immediately smile.gif

Behavior that hinders healing:

Contact between the new piercing and another person's skin or bodily fluids;
Excessive and unnecessary touching of the piercing, especially with unwashed hands;
Failure to take proper aftercare measures;
Smoking and drinking alcohol (in the case of oral piercings, if not cleaned properly and rather close to the time of drinking or smoking);[citation needed]
Exposure to irritating substances such as cosmetics, perfume, lotion, some topical ointments, etc.;
Immersion in chemically-treated pool water, or natural water (i.e. lakes, rivers, streams, and oceans) which contains bacteria, protozoa, and parasites;
Cleaning with tea tree oil, as it keeps the wound open;
Lack of sleep or low health.
The healing process and body piercing aftercare
A new piercing will be sore, tender or red for several days up to three weeks. Complete healing normally takes several weeks or more. Below are more specific healing time estimates. During this period, care must be taken to avoid infection. Touching—or, for genital and oral piercings, sexual activity—is usually discouraged.

Primary healing usually takes about as long as is listed below; the jewelry should not be removed during this period. The healing time should not be rushed. Very often a piercing that seemed to be healed will start to have problems when it is handled roughly, exposed to mouth contact or unwashed hands before it has truly healed.

Full healing starts after primary healing is complete and usually takes about as long as primary healing, during this period the skin thickens and starts to gain elasticity. An additional "toughening up" period takes place after full healing is complete, this "toughening up" period also takes about as long as the primary healing time. During "toughening up" the skin remodels itself developing an internal texture in the fistula tube that replaces the shiny scar-like internal surface.
Approximate primary healing times:

Monroe piercing: 6-12 weeks
Bridge: 2-3 months
Cheek/Anti-Eyebrow: 3–6 months
Ear cartilage: 6-12 months
Ear lobes: 6-8 weeks
Eyebrow: 6-8 weeks
Tragus: 6–12 months
Lip / Labret: 3–4 weeks
Nostril: 2-3 months
Septum: 2-3 months
Tongue: 4-6 weeks
Frenulum: 6-8 weeks

Female Nipples: 3-6 months
Male Nipples: 3-6 months
Navel piercing: 4–6 months
Hand web: 1 year
Surface: 6–8 months

Over time, after the piercing, the resulting wound is allowed to heal, forming a tunnel of scar tissue called a fistula. When the piercing has fully healed, the initial jewelry may be changed or removed for short periods.

Hello! So far I have only four regular piercings and all of them are on my lobes (2 on each side). I got them after much persuading, since my mother was very reluctant to let me get my ears pierced at all.

I'm quite seriously considering getting a helix piercing. I'm currently studying in Australia right now, and I checked out the price for a helix piercing, which is AUD 55 (roughly RM 160). Is that price alright? Because if it's significantly cheaper in Malaysia, I might only do the piercing when I go back for the holidays.

Also, I was hoping someone could advice me on whether I should get the piercing during the school semester. I worry that if I get the piercing now, the pain and the bother of taking care of the piercing will cause me to be distracted or anything. What are the chances of a helix piercing migrating or getting infected? How long will it take for the worst part of the healing process to be over?
