Most probably a usd 12 per person rebate or a offer to step up to ref 980(at rsp) n buyback at invoice price or ref 970 price..whichever is lower.

Only for US purcahase.

Then screw everybody who takes up that offer if they rma by enforcing the full conditions of warantty.

i use shopback.my for some rebates as well
can also wait for lazada credit card rebates
all this make my gtx970 cheaper

if you know how to get more discounts online your stuff becomes cheaper

yup thats the whole reason why most of gtx 970 owners so piss of with this issue.. 970 will still be a GREAT card even though its been advertised as 3.5GB.. Nvidia will still make a huge profit by telling the real spec of the card.. people will still buy and enjoy it no doubt. But why nvidia still gave false information to us?? this will make us thing that nvidia just want to make easy/cheapo profit by lying to their customer..

Well, some probably would not buy it. Let's say you're given 4GB and 3.5GB card. I'm sure you'll get a 4GB card just for future proofing.
