Casing, air cooling. Try ft02. You will nvr look back.

Previously with my pushpull thermalright venomous black with two noiseblockers beat all aio coolers n having a reference blower gpu doesnt affect case temps.

i would say mostly attributed by the Silverstone AP fans

how does the nvidia shield android box work exactly ?

i had heard it's able to stream games from your pc to the big screen tv in the living room (so you can play on the big tv), if you have the home networking for it.

but then where exactly is the graphics being powered from ? Is it the desktop pc gpu, or will it be the gpu on the shield box itself ?
Also titan X is based on what technology ? Maxwell or Pascal ?

12gb ram seems cool, but for budget minded 6-8gb would have worked just as well  hmm.gif  And it's gonna get more expensive when switching from GDDR5 to HBM come pascal.
*
normally, streaming from a PC to another device means

> PC doing all the hardwork
> streamed to device that is like middle man

think of Nvidia Shield Portable

but Nvidia's one.. i havent read into it, but i heard they allocate some supercomputer to do the hard work? hmm.gif

EDIT: Titan X should be Maxwell

Strange? I thought this displayport issue only confined to GTX 900 series?

im not sure, first time using DP here

im guessing could be drivers issue, instead of hardware

DP is still at infancy as well

From what i have seen in gsync thread.. Dp cables are finicky n require high qc to produce.

Try another dp cable.
*
only have one atm, so i cant really test with another cable

its the same one bundled with my monitor. mDP to DP

ill see if i can find DP to DP in nearby stores, DP cables are somewhat rare as heck

i have a few reservations on Dell for removing DVI on their new monitor lineups, and replacing with HDMI instead. but oh well..

Using DP from my 970 to my U2713HM, no problems here.

I also have a P2314h and U2414h that was previously using DP as well without issues other than the limited RGB color range before the 347.25 driver fix.
*
just odd, cause when i checked the monitor during boot up, it said "no signal received" but the U2312Hm have no issue whatsoever

this might not be relevant, but my keyboard doesnt work during BIOS too.. just recently only though

Hmmm... monitor specific problem then? Have you seen anyone with a U2515 describing the DP signal issue too?

USB? Maybe disable and re-enable legacy USB in your BIOS.
If you have USB 2.0 and 3.0 hand-off disabled, just try to enable them again (or re-enable them).
*
not much reviews online atm, besides TFTCentral, even they didnt touch on that issue hmm.gif

oh well, its not much issue to access BIOS atm, just that in case if SHTF, i hope the keyboard can access

Tell me about it. I have to resort to Amazon to get mine. The same with my first 4K monitor from Asus because they're the non-ROG kind.  The upcoming ROG 4K G-Sync one, you need to have insider connection to even be considered a unit.

It the case of the "lowest common denominator" driving the sales and determining which item to stick around here. Everybody's opting for the cheap monitors, resellers and distributors here aren't inclined to stock high end stuff. Just like how I asked around Lowyat Plaza about PCI-E SSD and kept being referred to bog standard boring SSDs. Further explanation of what format of SSD I wanted, the PCI-E kind, got me a blur "I don't know what you're talking about, I'm only selling mainstream stuff" look.

There are high end purchasers. It's just that we are overwhelmed by shitty boring cheapass entry level kind.
*
thats lowyat for you, thats why most enthusiasts go for other dealers for uncommon items

you wont get the latest stuff, but you can get close to it. closer than most Lowyat shops anyway

but im surprised lowyat shops doesnt have PCI-E SSDs hmm.gif

Viewnet, Jayacom, All IT are relatively big names there, they should have at least one or two models to cater for the enthusiasts hmm.gif

Really some things that deserves attention just doesn't get sold here. That link i posted was SG acer. They get almost the same time release at launch.

On the other hand acer and other brands in MY keep pushing the shitty touch screen AIO model that no one will buy.

Between windows AIO and MAC? I'd say any common sense user will buy a MAC than these shitty AIO, even though the mac is more pricey. If they really wanted a PC, they will get a PC.

Bottom line, no serious gamer will buy AIO and no casual user will buy AIO. Ask any auntie uncle and they question the practicality of such thing but when presented with a MAC they will buy it anytime.
*
youll be surprised how many people still buy AIOs these days

mostly due to their mindset and course, dealing with multiple warranties

not everyone wants super power com, sometimes they also want the service that comes together by purchasing from the said brand

U cannot use adaptive sync as its a extension on dp1.2 which nvidia wont support unless its a mandarory spec at 1.3.

Also titan x are oveclocking nuts at stock reaching 1400n just now 1500 asic 87.

Afail nobody can overvoltage yet n awaiting update on precision n afterburner.

As for fan profile. All reviewers are idiots running default max 55 on oc n those same idiots nvr tested vram of som. 3840x1440 ultra is 7.2gb. First timr som ran without a hitch.

Cant wait for my cards to test watchdog msaa 8x supersampling with sweetfx n mod.
*
techpowerup gave a small conclusion on that part, so far it ate close to 6GB VRAM

then COD AW ate about 7+GB? rclxub.gif

Maybe because they turn on cache sun shadow maps & cache spot shadow maps, i forgot the name of the setting that ate VRAM like crazy.

could be, i rmb i cannot run COD AW due to some settings

itll instant crash sweat.gif

Those dumbass are totally wrong. Base on som. Its 6gb at 1440p n so is wolfy. Fc4 5gb +

So far highest is acu 8x msaa 11.2gb. Watchdog should be the same.

These ass of reviewers dont gave n just run a few mins of benchies.

Actualy vram usage.. One shld game n see how it flux n it affects like hitching.
*
dumbass is quite harsh, theyre reviewers after all. there should be some truth to what theyre reviewing

but i do agree, i think SOM take more VRAM than just 5GB

though other reviewers seem to be stuck on 5-6GB range

Through Nvidia.com. I'm not willing to go through local reseller as there aren't guarantees that I'll get one or even if I'm in the waiting list I may got shut out by them out of me not being a regular or don't know them well. When it comes to high end purchase with high dollar value, money doesn't hold any sway anymore.

just remember to do local review on it when its up and running rclxms.gif

Those using GALAX GTX970 OC in a SFF casing please take note.

Happened this morning while I was playing MMO.
The heat cause the glue on the fan sticker to loosen.
The sticker then fly off and jam the fan.
I took the sticker out and stick it back then everything back to normal.

Does removing the sticker on the fan void warranty? I don't want same thing to happen again during my online game boss fight.

[attachmentid=4386053]
*
dont think so, unless those sticker already mentioned "warranty void if sticker is removed bla bla"

thats the first time i heard the sticker came out. usually the glue they used would resist higher temps as its in close proximity

frankly speaking, both cards are overkill at 1200p hmm.gif

unless you have a 144Hz 1200p monitor

HI, I wanna need some feedback regarding my leadtek 980, when i played batman origin, i only get less than 150 fps compare to those website like techpower.com, it shows can easily shoot up to 200 fps? fresh installation here. is it my mobo or processor? bottleneck? latest driver: 347.88
*
could be your CPU. especially if you throw Physx high

bear in mind techpowerup uses a more powerful CPU in their benchies

and its the average FPS accumulated

I did survey, if processor maybe not playing high role in gaming. Some people recommend i% over i7 if normal usage. I set all ultra, average 80-130, around that figure. Havent try on UNITY yet. check on youtube, if all high setting, maybe less than 100 fps. like ngkhanmein said, ur eyes can see 150 fps?  tongue.gif
*
every rig is different bro, we can only estimate the performance

there is no definite FPS
