Thinking of buying this ZOTAC GeForce GTX 960 (ZT-90310-10M), at RM699, I think its a much better deal than 750Ti OC, but it only has 1 fan. I wonder if the single fan is sufficient for cooling the GTX960?

GPU alone doesnt run at 100% TDP all the time anyways, a good 600W PSU is fine, unless you have crazily overclocked CPU + >10 HDDs in your system

im using GPU-Z to monitor, and i have never ever exceed 100% even on Furmark

try using a different software to monitor and see how it goes

HW Monitor can be quite wonky at times (back then it showed -XXC for AMD CPUs)

hmm well there are reports of GTX970 that eats up massive power eventhough TDP for GTX970 is 145W (Gigabyte's)

i am quiet worry, because i am still using  i7-2600k OC to 4.4 24/7 with GTX770 2gb ASUS and my psu only 650w corsair.

A single 980 is not good enough for 1440p/60fps. A single 980 will only give extra legroom in 1080p games, that's all. I've said it many times, on 1080p an OC'd 970 (1520/8000) is pretty much as quick as a 980, VRAM limitation or not.

A heavily OC'd 980 (say 1500/8000) is still not good enough for 1440p/60fps, so where is it left at then? A 1080p card for users with 120/144hz monitors? Even then, a 980 cannot pull 120fps on most recent games.
A 980 setup is only somewhat viable if one is going 4k and the user gets 2x980s for SLI. But again, there are a whole other set of issues on that.
It would be Pascal vs Maxwell. Pascal is not due until at the very least Q2 2016. That's nearly a whole year of wait, if you can wait that long then wait. If not, get a 970 if you're on 1080p, get a 980Ti if you're on 1440p. It's that simple.

hey, im on 1440p and with a GTX780

seems good so far, you just need to lower the graphical settings (granted i need to throw in 100MHz core and 200MHz mem overclock)

even so, some games with older engines runs exceptionally well at 1440p high settings

Im gona buy a 980ti but running on a 1080p monitor 60hz BF4 eats too much  of everything. cpu,ram,hdd,gpu. T.T

when buy last time no budget for i7 or xeon coz at that time everyone say i5 enuf for gaming n so on. T.T for other games is ok with i5. i might upgrade to xeon also if budget allows. but gtx 980 ti is my priority and also SSD.

hopefully nvidia prices will go down a little once amd announce their new lineups
