Check your bios, set the HDD type to normal rather to ACHI, this might work when you are trying to install windows XP, else you need to install more advanced ver of OS, Like windows vista or windows 7 - by lwl6804

I had similar problem with urs and after changing the HDD type in bios, can boot up already

Hi there,

Im using amd processor, asus m5a99x-evo motherboard and corsair force 3 120gb ssd.

ive been using this spec almost 1 year without any problem.

I bought corsair vengeance 8gb a couple of month ago.

and then a blue screen keep pop out.

at first at bios shows up that my ram is on 1333mhz, and i thougt this was the problem.

so i change manually at bios to 1600mhz, ( because the corsair vengeance can support up to 1866mhz if oc )

but STILL THE BLUE SCREEN SHOWED UP!

i checked at asus forum and it says i need to update my bios setup.

but seriously??? just because of this thing i need to update my bios?

the thing is.. i never done it before.. and i dont want to mess up with my bios..

is there any other way that i can do ?

please help.. thank you

Getting frequent atikmpag.sys after losing 2GB of my RAM. IDK if it's the motherboard or RAM stick issue, so do you think it's worth buying new RAM sticks just to check?

I'm a computer noob, so would you recommend me sending in my CPU to ComputerWar or something for a checkup?

Hi, sifus. Can you help me with my BSOD problem? ASUS A43SD colour series, only four months old. BSOD occured during the first month but I kinda ignored it since it happens 'once in a blue moon'. BSOD only occur when playing dota. other games like NFS:The Run does not trigger BSOD. below is the log. I thought it was RAM problem since the error shows that it is due to hardware. correct me if im wrong though. so i tried removing it. then just now it is running on 2gb ram only. but still bsod. previously it is 2GB ram (Asus) + 2gb kingston.

I would like to ask something.

Is it okay if I place a subwoofer beside my CPU tower? The subwoofer is of an Altec Lansing vs2621. After 5 minutes of using the speakers, my pc auto restart.

It was not mentioned on the box to be magnetically shielded but some browsing on the Internet shows up some info that says it is magnetically shielded.

I dug up some old forum threads dated back to 2005 on Google and I couldn't find anything definitive.
