A lap of Imola, tips and workarounds.

Izznata as usual thanks for your work. This time the wallpaper is just nice, the reso and width I mean.

maranello55, you you are right about being patient. The reward comes later, believe me. The most important thing is racing experience for everybody. The race is long, why the need to hurry and destroy the race. At the beginning always push to around 20-30% of your capability. When the confidence built in, then only crank up the pace.

As for kimi, sorry to hear that buddy. We wish to have you as well and you know that. Try version 1.062 of Ham that gives me 5min green to all peers and server.



I make the same mistake during training. Perhaps next time we can do more practise over a race weekend offline or online.

Next race, please be at your 20% capability during race start. Or should we have rolling start then? Will it work better that way. I'm sick of seeing cars flying across the track.

yeah me too. i think the only clean racing we had was at Valencia and Hockenheim. imho, we could :

i. Make the race longer (like i suggested before). its different between following a car for 5 laps out of 20 laps race (25%) and for 5 laps out of 30 laps ( 16%). we should give an option if you cant pass a car on the track, maybe you can pass them in the pits.

So far, everybody sticks with 1 stop strategy because twice stopping is still not feasible.

ii. introduce penalty system. i know redline is a bit reluctant in this area, i think it will encourage a fair racing.

and.... simple ethics of racing should be practiced by everyone.... give way when blue flagged.... brake early if your following someone into a corner .... use the rear view mirror when exiting the pits... when you off track, dont immediately get into the track, make sure the coast is clear.....and last but not least, this is not bumper car racing

on to imola... practice last nite... only able to clock 1.52 i experiencing major major oversteer...

i agree with evo, make the pits stragegy become very crucial for the race.

Also, when a car in front taking the outside line, the car behind pleasedon't barge in the inside line.
Sure accident (like in Brno) where the outside line car cannot see the inside line car.

Kalau follow Redline, payah la dia nak buat mistake since...pro.

I especially agree about the penalty part....We can appoint race stewards to look into race incident complaints and exercise penalty. It is i think is for the good of everyone, so that we dont have someone running strong infront just to be hampered by someone following too close and braking too late into corners...or car trying to do an impossible recovery from a spin as if he is the only one on the track. No offense.

I dont know if this is implementable or not....but it would be a good thing. Its up to the league taikoes...

I only managed a high 1:50s after pretty much satisfied with tyres and gearing...yet to work on diffs and suspension... It is very2 tight indeed....

The Imola link that PCCrazy provided should be read by all....so we can understand the track together interms of dos and donts....

Karom doode, I have not finalised any setup yet la...but u can ask Ryugan since ur car is closer in specs with his....he did a blinding 1:47s last nite...

I dunno wut our 'aliens' can do.....i think we can add Ryugan to the list...LOL

EDIT: I think test race is important here to get use racing with each other....to race in tracks like Imola u need to have trust and know what others will do in situations.

PCcrazy and i did some running together at Spa. One time i followed him down towards Eau Rouge and suddenly he jerk to the left. Fickle me thought that he gave me way or he having some kinna trouble. I cant tab the glance right button coz i was aiming for eau rouge entry apex....so i didnt know where is he or what he is doing....then i swerve into the apex and i saw him at my rear view backing up and out of the track...

Thats one lesson for me....he was being defensive....i shouldve known. This is my first time racing with ppl. Like the msg Madnoren gave before the Spa race, we are racing against each other...not AI....

Pfff..i can talk forever about this forgive me.

ok. just curious only. My setup even it can sometime reach 1:48, but it is really hard to excel in curb after Tosa curb to the end. After all, i try using race tyre setup.. medium for front and soft for rear. I think today nak try kasi bias depan 58 or 59.

about rYUGAN..he's the 'sim race alien' in the making now. Very fast and hard to keep up with him.

First of all, thanks for the kind remarks. I was just doing my duty educating those who are not in the know.

As for the Eau ROuge case, I was on the left and you are on the right side by side. So naturally I have the left side apex and you have the right side apex on the crest of eau rouge. You see that the lines therefore have changed. That way we can do side by side until the next corner. It doesn't mean I drive defensively that is my line. You have your rights as well. But you have to give up certain rights because the left hand side is mine all the way up and the right hand side is yours all the way up. But honestly both driver must be good that he can maintain his narrow line all the way.

tp belum finalize lg..stil in test..setup nih makan tayar
1 lap x ble wat pape..mmg masuk pasir..tunggu 2-3 lap baru dapat perform

kalo rase ada kureng bgtau maybe bleh tweak yang lelain plak

Hmm, great since now you understand the setup you can help the others. Ryugan you are sure fast here. 1m 47. Last time I tried I was on the edge to reach that. Hmm I better prepare my setup now.

I'm too smooth into Aqua Minerali perhaps that is the problem.

i will try the setup rYUGAN.

Now can anyone here procide me some setup tips for newbie, or some examples of setup ..

should i free of some Anti roll bar and spring rates as well ?

Setup tips one : Decrease Slow bump and slow rebound for the chassis. Slow the respond of the chassis to transition. Perfect for tracks that is smooth and requires a lot of left and sudden right turn.

Setup tips two : Play with front antiroll bar to get precise steering direction. But becareful not too much since this is one of major factors determining tyre temp. You can play with rear too if you want

But here, you have to sacrifice a bit of realism. FFB reduce or none at all. I'm faster without but I hate driving without any.
