tak tahu lagi...tgk komuniti kat mana nak main...hehe

c5-corvette rpm max 7000rpm, u need to bring down wing  a bit & run soft front rear hard, default is way much understeer...it's hard to clock below 2mins @ brno without tweaking....but corvette c6 2006 version is a beast....but not available in GTR2...in brno my rpm=6500 only.

So you guys are playing at what time tonight?

Can we play Monza, or Hockenheim, or Brno, or Barcelona cos the rest of the track haven't gone through yet. tongue.gif

Yup, pretty hard particularly when using kerb with a bit of throttle. I have to be as smooth as buta to lap quicker around BRNO last night.

But anyway where are the rest of the clan last night? only me, evohahn, voivod, izznata attended the session.

ahh... the mysterious Pccrazy... joined us last nite tongue.gif. You forgot that Redline was there too... tongue.gif

I lead the race for 5 laps i think then disaster struck..... my GTR minimized itself to windows because 'someone' sent me a message thru hamachi......

Redline was there?

Madnoren = Redline?

Anyway it's a good welcoming session for me. First introduction to online racing in gtr2.

So, is today session as usual or not. C'mon guys, show up . The more the merrier.

Our official race date hasn't been finalized yet?

Anyway just notice that driving with pirelli and michelin produce different kind of challenge. Hmm have got to get used to this somehow.

Oh redline, book me car 550 22 okay.

Guys any tips on setup at Monza? I'm not able to go quicker without sacrificing my wings. What do I need? Taller gearbox and how is the suspension should be setup to quick around corners. Hard, medium or soft? Which one is quicker?

I manage to clock 1.47.224 testing alone but I can't lap consistently in the 48s. Normally will lap around 49s and low 50s. My car is a bit shaky under braking. Couldn't get the balance right.

I had this feeling that I would crash under braking every time. Not a good sign over race distance. This new physics is really punishing, the old one is more predictable where I can lap almost consistently, I mean my time differs marginally over several laps.

no use if just keep pushing your car to limit, must know how to setup the car to suit your driving style. smile.gif

in sim racing,
bad setup = bad car
*
Couldn't agree more. But setup only means a lot when you can properly handle the car.
I mean you have the ability to estimate what's the car going to do under braking, under acceleration, going into corners, etc.

A good article on understanding the physics of cars. Crucial for you to have the idea of of what physics got to do with car control.

Dudes, it was never about the money, it is about commitment and time in which I don't have much now. That's why I don't bother about the free COH or watever.

So if you guys want to continue to entice in this GTR2 thread or during GTR2 TeamSpeak, then I guess I am out of this GTR2 league too. Sorry.
*
Ooops, what have you guys done.

Whatever it is, I hope you are staying since I enjoy your input and I regard you very highly. smile.gif

ok i think the number of laps we change according to the track but the race duration minimum will be 45mins (45mins to 50mins race)....we start race early...by 11pm can finish & chit chat until 11:30pm.
*
Great, but it's a difficult task for me but nevertheless I'm ready.

My bro prefer the old physics while I prefer NAP, So it's kinda tedious to change back and forth between the two. All this time I'm away, he is the one playing gtr2 all night long. Well what to do, just have one momo right now.

As for the strategy wise, I should start immediately as the race is just around the corner. I'm prepared to get smoked anyway. biggrin.gif

G25 is a beauty, If I were you I will definitely use the G25 straight away.

Raikkonen, the setup, I haven't manage to get used to it, so I'll stick with my setup for the race. My setup for me is easier under braking and faster on straights. It suits my style.

congrats to the podium finishers

got a stop-go for speeding in pitlane!! did not practice pitting - ruin my race

sorry pccrazy ZDDCG for touchin ur buttt - but i waited n not overtake until u recover
*
No problem, it's okay. But today is a bad day for me. I got a stop go penalty and few accidents as well. But this tells a lot about my lack of experience over a race distance.

Well, next stop, Valencia.

QUOTE(evoHahn @ Nov 9 2006, 04:28 PM)
did some quick laps during lunch and i clocked 1.37' 202 . a 1.35 is very very posibble. The track is bumpy so need to adjust the springs settings.

I decrease the brake pressure so my back end wont step out during braking. I raise the ride height and lower the tire pressure for better grip.

one tip: dont brake or accelerate quickly or you'll spin  tongue.gif

redline : momo sold already? tongue.gif
*
I also did a quick run yesterday and manage to clock a low 1.36.xxx with a lot of fuel and soft slicks but yes a 35 is possible but with a really good race setup.

Oh, one more tip its never good to use the kerb too much on the apex. It will unsettle the car under acceleration. To all my ferrari 550 teammates, I hope we can work together to achieve optimum setups for this track.

Perhaps we can devise a strategy. Car number one will work on suspension, car number two will work on strategy, car number three will work on gearing, radiators, duck. We will be based on the same setups and from there, we will work on that setups. Feedbacks are most welcomed.

1st time here...

very nice picture and gamplay... can i ask something? is it PC game? the graphic is very damn cun...

how to join? biggrin.gif
*
Yup, to be specific it's a simulation. So it might be a nightmare for newcomers. Unlike NFS series, GTR2 utilize real world physics to model the car.

PM redline for more info on joining.

hi,

1st time here also.... this games seems interesting~

my pc spec:
2.4c@3.0
1GB ram
Ati 9550

enough to play this game?
*
Sure but don't use DX9 acceleration. In the settings option (start menu-->your gtr2-->settings) select DX8 or DX7 and remember to also tweak the options inside gtr2 as well.

Come and join us. All you need to do is don't purposely hit someone.
