My budget are up to RM3,500. I have a rig that doesn't work well with my 4K TV Display. I don't think i can savage any parts from this rig.

I want to use mainly for playing videos with MaxVR + SVP to play and process videos to 60+ fps at 4K resolution.

I read the recommended SVP system configuration has to be 4 times the configuration below:
CPU - Intel Core i3 or AMD A8, FX 4xxx

Are you going for an ITX setup?It costs a bit more.

Not sure how much the casing costs,haven't heard of it before,plus not sure which shop have it.

Thanks for the input. I kinda like the small squarish case and it "looks" well ventilated too. Looked into Elite 130 before but the dimension seems bigger. Anyway, seems like 4670k/4690k better if i want to o/clock in future. And yes, mostly for gaming
BTW, Asrock m/b any good? The last time i build a rig, there's only gigabyte, asus n msi.

Got the best quote from Jayacom for the specs i wanted at 3.5k w/out the case which is over my budget. Guess i'll change to xeon + m/b to H97  or similar will be cheaper i think. However, the seller suggested taking at least 600w PSU for better stability as 520w would be minimum requirement.

600W?Even a good quality 500W PSU is enough for the GTX970..but good quality 500W PSUs are rare or even not available here.

The options for good quality PSUs are limited at Jayacom,AFAIK..since the price list doesn't show Seasonic PSUs.

If my budget is RM3000, what can I get as hardware for a PC?

My main aim is to get really satisfying frame rate & graphics at gaming.

Note: The most highest graphical requirement game I've played so far is Advanced Warfare, so I think that should be around the highest I might go.

So my next items to get, I need the sifus advice:
Shall I go for the E3-1231 v3 or i5-4690K?
Will the i5's ability to overclock to 4gb or more, trump the Xeon's HT function?

1st option sounds nice, read quite a number of bad reviews on i3 and the fact that it wont be as futureproof as i5's? is it really necessary to get a new psu or can i use the atx 480?
