I'm just wondering why Mitsubishi Attrage is not popular in Malaysia because I'm considering to get one.

Toyota VIOS and Honda CITY is every where on the road.

Based on the owner review in carbase.com 1.2MIVEC engine with CVT doesn't feel underpower.

Everyone is complaining petrol price increase so we shall consider a petrol saving car. Attrage give average 18km/L (officially 21km/L)

Is it their marketing/advertisment not good?
After sales service not good?
Spare parts very expansive?
User no confident on 1.2MIVEC engine at B-segment car?
Or any other problems?

Any professional come share your opinions on this.

Power wise I think it is better than Axia since their weight is quite close but Attrage having higher cc

Ugly is also one point

And people will always be like... Add a few more thousand can get more spacious 1.5cc Almera, o wai... I think another few more thousand I can get god car! rclxms.gif

It is in a sensitive range where people who are aware of fuel price and car price will go for perodua while people so wanted a non local brand will go for honda or toyota

Tested this car last year.
1) Car is underpower a bit.
2) Steering doesn't center when U turn
3) Engine scream like crazy when tekan. Typical 3 cyclinder engine characteristic. The car loud like my old Savvy.
4) RV no good
5) Discount no good
6) FC wise, City can do 18km/l, up to 21km/l if driven constantly on highway. 15 to 17km/l is possible for Vios/Almera in similar condition. Not much difference.

Given it's almost same price as City, Vios, Almera for the low spec version (just a few K difference).....no wonder it cannot sell.

I was attracted to this car for the price initially, after test driving an consider all factors, doesn't seem so cheap anymore.

Ya. 3 cylinder in sedan ppl will think it's underpower, but mpst of the owner review at carbase.com say won't really feel it. I think I may test drive it only know.

I think I will be like you, after test drive won't consider anymore. Ya the owner review also say the engine sound roar when climbing hill.
Actually I get attracted to the push start button and keyless system. Honda City 6th Gen need 80k+ in order to have this features x.x

Seem like the noisy kill everything for non-local car x.x

Actually I'm considering Honda City also but the type I like is RM81k.

RM69k vs RM81k big different huh? x.x

Khairy suggestion tax free for local assembly car will be a big hope for me to get Honda City biggrin.gif

12K not that big difference if you divide by the loan installment. Car will also have much higher RV compared to Attrage.
Furthermore, you can get better safety specs. Consider all these factors.

Btw, you can get 5k discount? Last year City stock?

Better safety specs on a City are expensive though...

Why not go local, get an Iriz Premium or a Preve instead? Much safer, parts are locally available, ...

Mitsubishi insults Europe with rubbish cars cheapened for Thailand. But, to be fair, it's also an insult to Thais. And it's not just cheap: the Mirage is crap in ways that don't correlate with cost. Why would you do this to yourself when a children's scooter would be both nicer to steer and less harmful to your image?

their specs just does not worth the PRICE~~!!
First of all, they should have auto cruise
Secondly where is the steering control buttons?
Third, over priced
Fourth, its 1.2 and 3 cylinder (price should be lower)...if you do the maths with the petrol price of RM2.30, you will rather drive a higher fuel consumption car and also will not rugi the pricey car.

Rather get Almera lowest spec or some new vehicle around RM44k for 1300cc 4 cylinder.
