Do u have many CC? Is your DSR is high? If yes, most like the cc application will be rejected. HSBC very particular in this

Fortunately, the answer to both questions is no. But this brings a curiosity in me. I actually thought that the more CC you have, the easier it is for you to have another CC (given that you don't have lots of CC debt). So I have a misconception all this time then. hmm.gif

HSBC credit card processing department is terrible, one month the card still has yet received, they are using snail mail to deliver my credit card

Have you nudged them with phone calls already? I did it after a week of my card's approval notification (by phone) and my Visa Signature card arrived a few days after. hmm.gif

I got 6 months for a "blacklist" period last time. Now I have the Signature tho, so all's good. nod.gif

Btw, how do you pay for the credit card bill using HSBC online banking? I browsed around, but can't seem to find a way. hmm.gif

Just because. No particular reason beside I already have a savings account with HSBC. tongue.gif

From a HSBC banking account to a HSBC credit card? Just transfer it across from the banking to the credit card account.

That's so simple! Hahaha. Silly me. Thanks for the answer! thumbup.gif

Just want to share a bad experience with how HSBC handled fraud transactions. So, in October, I received several text messages on my phone about ITUNES transactions (which I didn't do). I immediately called HSBC to claim fraud transactions and tell them that my card's compromised. The agent confirmed that those transactions were frauds, blocked my card, and sent me a new one. The fraud transactions didn't appear on November's statements, so I was happy. But December came and suddenly there were 14 transactions totaling > RM2,000 on my statement... Yes, they're the fraud transactions. I called HSBC again and the agent told me to send them the dispute form for this. That's the procedure so I did it anyway. I just think that the procedure is inefficient and wasting everyone's time when HSBC already confirmed that those transactions were fraud in October... dry.gif

Aaaanyway, the amount has been credited back to my card, so I'm content now. Though I always prefer that the amount is credited to my savings account rather than my card. unsure.gif

how long did they take to credit the dispute? Did you pay the statement (including the fraud transaction) before they credit them back to you?

and no, if the transaction is from credit card, the money will go back to credit card.

I submitted the dispute form on 28th. I'm not sure when they credited the amount back to me, but when the January's statement came out (yesterday), it's there. Yeah, I know about the fact in your last sentence and that there's nothing to do about it anyway. I just feel that it's a bit unfair for the customer. sweat.gif
