Hii guys, just wanna ask about the cashback structure for HSBC Amanah Visa Platinum. I looked for answers in the front post but can't find any. 1) What is the cashback time frame? Is it based on monthly? Or is it based on statement date? 2) Which time frame should I base on for the accumulated minimum RM2000 spend to be eligible for the full cashback (RM50)? Is it based on monthly? Or is it based on statement date? Thanks for any replies

I thought the 8% cashback still applies but only until end of this year. Refer here: https://sp.hsbc.com.my/projects/mpower/file..._2018_final.pdf

QUOTE(Quang1819 @ Jan 24 2019, 12:38 PM) I see... So far I found that this HSBC offers the best cashback as no minimum amount can get 2.2% (still wondering if it's true). Cause I tend to pump Shell, so yeah, just wondering if there's better offer. Grocery no minimum amount still can get 2.2% isn't it? As long as it's in their list of selected ones. Will check it out. But I only pump Shell If you are referring to HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card, then I'm afraid you are sorely mistaken. I suppose you've scanned through their TNC right? 8% Cash Back on Petrol and Groceries for accumulated monthly spend of RM2,000 and above; 2% Cash Back on Petrol and Groceries for accumulated monthly spend of less than RM2,000; 0.2% Cash Back on all other Eligible Spend Just realized that you mention 2.2%. Then, it's correct provided 2% from groc/petrol and 0.2% from eligible spend. I thought you are going to target for the full RM50 cashback. hahahaha This post has been edited by sulab: Jan 24 2019, 02:49 PM

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 6 2019, 04:19 PM) Oh 1 to 1 only? I thought RM 1=5x. OK, let me study further. So if I only spend 3k will also get 15k additional RP? In order for you to fully utilize the point, you need to spend RM3750 per month- 3750 (1x point) + 15000 (4x point). Note that additional point is capped at 15000 points

QUOTE(sj0217 @ Apr 14 2019, 10:27 AM) Yes I’m the existing user for Amanah Card before additional add this Visa Signature card Thanks for the confirmation. Did you get the RM225 acquisition CB for Amanah card? I was just wondering whether I would get the RM75 acquisition CB for Visa Signature since I already got the RM225 acquisition CB for Amanah Card. From TNC, I assume that there will be no problem in getting another RM75. Correct me if I'm wrong. BTW when did you get the the Visa Signature card? OK, just realised that you got the card on February 2019 This post has been edited by sulab: Apr 14 2019, 02:42 PM

QUOTE(OKLY @ May 10 2019, 02:53 PM) I hope you have read the previous posts. We have reloaded 2k to BigPay to meet the requirement. The problem now is that it seems 2k spending to reload BigPay is no longer qualified. 8% cash back not given for my Caltex petrol spending. Might it be because CB already depleted? When is the petrol spending transaction? Must remember that CB is FCFS. Not sure when is the exact date CB is depleted. Better to make the spending in the earlier month.

QUOTE(stargate8 @ May 19 2019, 07:40 PM) i also finally received mine on 16may, but not exact 8% cb, so i called to hsbc and was told to wait for june statement, lol, i feel something amiss, ask CS to send request for further checking instead to wait for june statement. i asked the CB is it automated or manually calculated, she told me it's automated, then by right both my tesco tranx should entitled 8% CB as i already got more than 3k spent under retail tranx which meet the requirement cashback everyday = for 8% cashback credit = for 0.2% hsbc trying to shortchange us??? When is your Tesco trx date? I assume you are aware that the CB is FCFS. Would be best if you spend it in the early months. I myself did not have any problem in getting the full RM50 CB every month

QUOTE(tcsee @ Aug 15 2019, 09:54 AM) Hi, I'm first month using HSBC Amanah Platinum. 8% groceries/petrol cash back once monthly spending >RM2k. Can members here help me with this question? If I transfer RM2001 to BigPay/Boost, next I went and pump petrol/do grocer, I'll get 8% cashback on these spending right? Cap at RM50. I did that for the first month, but my cashback only RM4.5...my misc/petrol/grocer spending calculation still base on the normal 0.2% cashback. Confused... Cashback is on first come first serve basis. When did you make transaction on petrol/groceries? Most probably the cashback pool is already depleted when you make the petrol/groceries transactions.
