Hi all,

Just a quick question. Do I need to activate my HSBC credit card for overseas if I'm going to Thailand? Thank you
*
As BEST PRACTICE, you should inform the bank when bring the card overseas. This is to avoid any embarrassment and expensive roaming calls

Today tried my 3rd time to apply for HSBC Amanah MPower for the RM500 Lazada e-Voucher promotion. The HSBC staff is really fast to call you back after online submission (less than 5min). Then upon submission of document online also quick call back to confirm.

Since I applied with the 12-month 0% BT, I don't need to spend anything retail to get my RM500 Lazada eVoucher. Nice deal from HSBC.

New to Bank customers...
The agent told me the BT is consider as transaction in the credit card, thus entitled for the Lazada voucher without spending

I didn't really keep track when the card was approved for me. Applied on 12-JAN-22, did the first transaction on 31-JAN-22, fulfilled the required minimum RM1K transaction (eWallet excluded) on 8-FEB-22 & received the RM600 pin SMS on 8-APR-22.

This RinggitPlus offer cannot use the required RM1000 spend on e-Wallet ?

3.4 The Retail Spend:

transactions), standing instructions/non-online auto-billing, e-Wallet(s)
top up and insurance/takaful payment. Example of such e-Wallets are
Touch and Go, BigPay and Boost App. This list of e-Wallets is not
exhaustive and may be subject to change from time to time; and

3.4.2 Excludes Fees and charges per Our Tariff and Charges, Cash Advance,
Balance Transfer Instalment (BTI), Cash Instalment Plan (CIP), Quasi Cash
and/ or transactions that enables cash-out or transfers to bank account.
