I just got charged AF for my Feb Statement, any members here manage to get AF waive from HSBC CS? Or should i just cancel the card, since i rarely use the card, therefore benefit from HSBC are rather limited.

Correct me if I'm wrong, actually if you have swiped 12 times in a year then you can call CS for waiver, should be quite easy.

But since that you mentioned you rarely use this card, then you might as well cancel it. For me this card has no advantage already anyway except for some promotion, like at Mid Valley now a lot of HSBC promotion.  thumbup.gif

Yea agreeable, as i only use it for some of the promotion or benefit(ie:GSC weekend purchase). I may opt to cancel it if the CS doesnt waive my AF. Will keep you guys posted on the outcome.

Just called the CS, the are able to waive on the AF, given so you have to pay the full amount first and they will subsequently credit back the AF paid at the next statement.

Given the hassle that i have to pay something that i have not incurred and only getting back the next month, and also subject to my card usage, it will take a while for me to redeem the full amount from HSBC.

Therefore, i have request to terminate the card, and the cancellation dept have yet to call me to proceed the cancellation. Overall, HSBC CS service is a "No, No".

Prior to my case on AF charged, i requested to cancel my card. Subsequent to that, CS called back to waived and instead offer me several good deals.

0% Balance transfer up to RM7000 for 3 months; Or
RM200 spending for RM50 guarantee CB.

Do not ask me info on the RM50 CB as i didn't enquire more, opted for the BT.
Fingers crossed just submitted my application on BT, will get a reply soon, and shall update u all biggrin.gif

Well i also just got the Security Device. But when i click Login with DEVICE. it shows "You do not have a security device"

but i already get one from HSBC branch near my house.

At the end call CS. CS do lots of thing at the end still not ok.

I suspect they give me wrong device. Black Surface is for normal consumer, Grey is for Business user.  confused.gif

I got a grey one but i just using their Credit Card.  cool2.gif

Just got charged annual fee for my primary and supplementary cards (3). To my surprise the CS officer waived my annual fee without asking anything more.

Kudos to HSBC, although at times i do encounter some bad service, these definitely improved my perception to HSBC smile.gif keep it up and give more deal to us smile.gif

Dear all,

Just sharing, when performing payment to ur HSBC credit card, please make sure u perform ur payment 2-3 days in advance before the due date. If the payment fall on a weekend please make sure to give 1 more day extra for the fund to be credited and cleared.

As in the past, based on my dealings with other banks, they allowed a grace period of 2-3 days for the payment to be cleared before the finance charges kicks in. On my recent encounter, i was impose with finance charges from HSBC due to they only received my funds after 2-3 days upon my transfer through inter-bank. Further to that, my statement due date was on a weekend, hence no processing was done during the 2 days.

To avoid such charges, please be extra careful when dealing with HSBC.

I have requested for cancellation, as im unhappy on the dealing, and i do foresee potential recurring charges for my upcoming bills. Then its a end to my HSBC.

hi haru, you can call up the CS to ask for leniency. if the amount is not large or you are regular good paymaster, they have no problems to cancel the charges.
*
I have requested them to waived it, but they say the occurrence of waiver can only be perform every 6 months, since i have waived my last month finance charges, they are unable to perform for the current month. Monetary wise the finance charges is just barely RM10, but its the hassle require to follow up and called up each time.

Therefore, moving forward please decide ur waiver wisely as u only have 6 months buffer. Im not aware that other banks having such practice.

Do be extra careful on dealings with HSBC, they seem to have change their SOP. Been a loyal HSBC card member since 2011, been granted auto waiver on the annual fee but due to the hassle of calling and appealing to them, maybe i shall call an end to my relationship with HSBC. sad.gif mega_shok.gif

My T1 card was approved end of August and someone from HSBC just called me to inform there is a promo for 0% BT for 3 months.

I assume this is the one: https://sp.hsbc.com.my/bt/0

Can I confirm if it is really 0%? I checked everything and it is 0% but you guys may know better.
