Hi Guys,

I saw HSBC booth in Mid Valley and they approached me to upgrade from Amanah Visa Platinum to Visa Signature for free.

My Platinum card is now looked very worn out and buruk already. So want to ask, whether it is good for upgrade? The benefit AFAIK is not much on Signature, just PPL entrance. What about the reward points of Signature? Worthwhile or just a crappy marketing?

Also Platinum cashback now is not really attractive. Any advise from /k bros here whether to proceed?  tongue.gif
*
HSBC VISA Signature is quite good if you shop regularly at Mid-Valley/The Gardens (8x rewards points, up to 1.5k spending). Otherwise, you can also get 5x rewards points when you use the card at some of the better known shopping centres such as KLCC, Pavilion etc. Do note there is a cap on the 5x/8x rewards points.

want to know HSBC Advance Account with new Visa Credit Card can get 100k credit limit?

Anyone tried before mind to share?
*
How much do you actually keep in your HSBC Advance Account ? Many Premier customers who keep a minimum deposit of 200k at HSBC are granted only around 30k-50k of credit limit for their HSBC Premier World MasterCard.

why would i lie my friend? i used GSC app to buy ticket last sunday. i filled up my hsbc card detail to make payment, and the app notified me hsbc promotion has been full redeemed. so i pay RM35 for two tickets..... (pavillion gsc - angry bird movie hall 12, 2.40pm show)
*
It has been fully redeemed for that particular day only. Try early this coming weekend and you should be able to buy the buy 1 free 1 ticket. The buy 1 free 1 ticket promotion is capped at 330 tickets per day on Saturday and Sunday respectively but in your previous post, you said it as if the quota has been fully redeemed for this promotion which is not true.

One thing for sure is that the card will sport a complete new card design. Eventually all other HSBC credit cards and debit cards that are still sporting the old design will also get a complete makeover featuring the iconic HSBC Lion Stephen.

HSBC VISA Signature used to have the same benefits as HSBC Premier World MasterCard. I guess they toned down the benefits of HSBC VISA Signature a bit as these two credit cards are not supposed to be in the same class per HSBC system.

This card would have made a nice decoration in your purse though biggrin.gif

Hello there, anyone has an idea how's the points conversion to Rm 1 like?
*
I'll only list out the highest cash back in percentage (to be redeemed in the form of shopping voucher).
- HSBC Premier MasterCard
0.375% (RM105 Uber codes)

- HSBC VISA Signature
0.35% (RM105 Uber codes)

- HSBC VISA Platinum
0.244% (RM105 Uber codes)

- all other rewards point-based HSBC credit cards
0.232%

Do note that the rewards points given to spending at certain places such as Mid-Valley is higher for certain types of HSBC credit cards.

Just wondering is Lazada's time zone GMT +8? Used HSBC card on 1/6/2018 7:30am for the RM30 discount but transaction date on HSBC shows 31/5/2018.
*
The payment gateway is in the US, hence why your transaction done at 7.30am MYT on 1/6/18 was recorded as transaction done on 31/5/18.

Has anybody tried to enter the lounge at KLIA's satellite terminal? I have a HSBC Amanah Premier World MasterCard Credit Card - i and I heard got complimentary entry into that lounge. Does anyone know where exactly is it within the terminal building and how do you get in?
*
Yes. You get to use the lounge up to 6 times a year. There is a time limit of 3 hours per visit but seriously, the staffs don’t care but no sweat about the time limit. Foods are free and so are the canned drinks. You have to pay for beer should you wish to have one. It’s on the 1st floor of the satellite terminal. Can’t recall it’s near to where already though. Very crowded in the evening, by the way.

Oh thx. Do you happen to know the name of the louge as well?

Also, do supplementary cardholders get to go in as well? Coz I have a relative who is a supplementary cardholder as well and is wondering if she can enter as well?
*
It’s Plaza Premium Longe. This card also allows you free access to the Plaza Premium Longe at Hong Kong International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport.

Unfortunately no. No complimentary access for HSBC/HSBC Amanah Premier World MasterCard supplementary credit card holders.

LZD is smart, they dont allow you to use both the 11.11 code together with the RM 500 voucher code.

Lazada has always only allowed one discount or promo code to be applied in a single transaction.

It's 30k but I think there's a limit every month, so just redeem on the first few days of the month to get promo redemption instead of redeeming now at 45k. No postage fees.

Assuming your card is the HSBC VS.
*
Thought it was weird when you mentioned one can exchange a RM100 shopping voucher with only 30,000 HSBC Rewards Points. Went to their website and it is a real deal but it is only for HSBC VISA Signature ranting.gif

QUOTE(BRY7 @ Jun 26 2019, 11:15 PM)
I haven't applied, plan do to it tomorrow.
Right now calculating the and comparing which card is more beneficial to me.
Seems like either VS or Premier World Mastercard

If i get the Premier World Mastercard then it would be 45k to RM100
*
You only need an annual income of RM36,000 to qualify for HSBC Premier World MasterCard whilst it is RM72,000 for HSBC VISA Signature. You may apply for both cards if you’re a HSBC Premier customer and earn at least RM72,000 per annum at the same time. Do note you will loss your HSBC Premier World MasterCard automatically when you loss your HSBC Premier status.

Approval for HSBC Premier cards (there are two types) are much lenient and can be done not necessarily with income documents but by having a certain amount of time deposit in HSBC that’s enough to show you earn no less than RM36,000 in interest every year from your self-named HSBC time deposit accounts.

The normal redemption rate for a RM100 shopping voucher for HSBC Premier World MasterCard is only 39,000.

Seriously? 36k for Premier WMC? What WMC is that? Just same level as typical entry card. laugh.gif
*
This card used to be issued to every HSBC Premier customers without showing proof of income until about 4 years ago. Now the reason the income requirement is set at only RM36,000 so that it is easy for many HSBC Premier customers whom may no longer be working but still not yet 65 years old to apply for the credit card. And the reason HSBC just wants you to prove you are earning at least RM36,000 a year is to satisfy BNM ruling on the 36k income for having credit cards from more than 2 banks. Still a pretty high-end card as for most customers who aren’t working, you basically have RM200,000 stuck with HSBC forever just to keep the card. Besides, if you are applying with time deposit without pledging one of your time deposit accounts as security lien, you need at least RM1 million in HSBC time deposit to apply for this card, or the HSBC Premier Travel Card.

QUOTE(YH1234 @ Jul 4 2019, 12:35 AM)
i think premier is for those with certain amt of investment. vs is good enough, just that no klia2 ppl. n travel insurance seem not mentioned in their tnc, a bit odd.
*
Yes it is for people who can “lend” HSBC RM200,000. And in some countries, there is Jade by Premier and the TRB requirement is around RM3.7 million.

For KLIA2 PPL, you can use HSBC Premier Travel card to go in there up to 12 times a year.

At least HSBC is taking a more sensible approach by not completely denying people of basic reward point unlike Maybank. There are still some genuine BigPay users that use BigPay locally and overseas as we can double-dip on reward points.
