Hi, anyone know how to calculate the Mpower Platinum card? The spending of rm2000 is monthly or as per statement? That is because I have spent 2500++ but however only got rm4 rebate. The 8% for petrol and grocery is not captured yet. All spent in October 2018

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Nov 5 2018, 01:41 PM) I asked them before, they said the 2000 is for participating petrol and grocery merchants only, not other spends. In this case, if you spend $2500 online, or in KK (grocery but not part of the participating merchants), or Petron/BHP, you don't qualify for 8%. But the online calculator in their website is different. As long as the total is rm2500, automatically we can get 8% rebate for petrol and grocery, correct? And they told me it follows calendar month. |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Nov 6 2018, 10:48 AM) best if go back to the terms and conditions as well as the product disclosure. any disputes should be based on those. QUOTE(beLIEve @ Nov 6 2018, 10:55 AM) Here's the fine print : The website is not updated , year 2016. But Ringgitplus has the latest 2018 version. From the fine prints. example 2 clearly illustrated that total spend of rm2200 in combination of petrol/grocery/other spent. Petrol / grocery entitled for 8% rebate. I think we should fight for it. Not fair to us1Terms and Conditions for HSBC Amanah Cash Back Programme apply from 1 Jan 2015 - 31 December 2016. 2% Cash Back for total monthly spend below RM2,000 or 8% Cash Back for total monthly spend of RM2,000 and above. Then we looky see the PDF file from "Terms used herein are defined in the Programme Terms & Conditions which can be found here.", and it says 2. This Programme shall run from 1 January 2017 until 31 December 2017, both dates inclusive (“Programme Period”). So I did not argue with the customer support. Was hoping that she's wrong, but so far I did not see any additional rebate other than the 0.2% I got. I've also no plans to spend $2000 on approved petrol and grocery merchants to see if what the customer support said about the 8% is true, because I don't spend that much on these every month. And the approved grocery merchants are far from my place, petrol also gone loh. |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Nov 6 2018, 12:00 PM) HSBC has no legal obligations to honor what another site / third party say about them, bro. If you applied yours through Ringgitplus because of this, maybe you can bug them and they might give you some goodies. The official website calculator also showing 8% for petrol/grocery for total spent of 2000 (I chose the non petrol/grocery 1500, petrol/grocery 700). All is working fine. I have drop an message to HSBC for clarificationhttps://www.hsbcamanah.com.my/1/2/amanah/pe...al/credit-cards has the latest info. Look under https://www.hsbcamanah.com.my/1/PA_ES_Conte...it_card_pds.pdf There is no 8%. |
