Anyone here got experience with the Perks @ Work campaign of HSBC?

Basically previous employer until Oct 31 was using HSBC as their salary account and we were invited to switch our salary account to an HSBC Amanah Advance account. Along with the new salary account I was able to get an HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum Credit Card-I approved.

So new employer comes this November and I still use the same HSBC account as salary account with this new employer but then I noticed it was normal account transfer to HSBC so had to clarify with their CS.

Based on the conversation it's something like, in order for a transfer to be tagged as "Salary Credit" it has to be from an HSBC account from employer to an employees' account. My new employer's bank account of choice is Ambank, no way new joiner can ask them to open an HSBC account so my salary gets tagged as salary credit.

Still with me? In order to keep this HSBC account (along with the CC) I would need to maintain 30,000 RM relationship balance or will be charged 10RM/mo which they call something like HSBC advance fee.

Anyone experience this before? Any suggestions from anyone? It'll take some time to reach the relationship balance with them to keep the savings account and the credit card.

I signed up for the campaign 2-3 years back.

I have no problem with the tagged as "Salary Credit".

For the relationship balance, it is not applicable for the first year. I cancelled the account after got my sign up offer. rclxms.gif
