are new ukuleles suppose to sound kinda dull ? my uku just arrived today and after tuning it it sounds soft , flimsy strings and dull . though i tuned it to the right place tho .

btw my 2nd string © is metal wound strings .

does a new set of strings (undefined weather its for which size of ukuelele) fit a tenor ukulele ? I was told that every new set of strings come in extra long sizes and could fit almost all ukulele .

Its an Alice string pack btw .
