What's in a name? Heliconia - a flower with many names. More example of the blurring effect: ![]() Also known as Birds-of-Paradise... Looks like an elegant bird in flight; wings spread wide ![]() Another angle of the same flower. Also known as Mother-in-law's Tongue Perhaps this is the part of the flower that earns it the rather unflattering name ?...with fangs sticking out, ready to snare any unsuspecting son/daughter-in law !!!!! ![]() The seed-looking part of the flower of the 'Mother-in-law's tongue' If there's any resemblance, I'll think these look more like the decayed teeth of your ma-in-law! ![]() Like this Heliconia variety very much ![]() ![]() The one with little 'yellow bananas' ![]() This post has been edited by ??!!: Dec 14 2006, 05:16 PM |

QUOTE(LanEvoX @ Dec 14 2006, 05:24 PM) QUOTE(gold3knight @ Dec 14 2006, 10:08 PM) I just love the color contrast on this. blue and red always makes things sort of pops out! Me also like contrasting colours. This particular specie has a kind of luminous glow that makes the colour very vibrant.QUOTE(zephyr @ Dec 14 2006, 05:48 PM) Can't really remember which lens i pakai...should be the 28-200 mm.QUOTE(nairud @ Dec 14 2006, 06:30 PM) how come my name popped up?
