@Yuuyatails

Thank you for your quick answer. So it is a "dead line" of toys/model kits? Maybe that's why everything at suruga-ya and Yahoo.auctions.jp from this line is really, really cheap.
*
Well, according to some sources. the reason why those are very cheap is because there are too many stocks of Dangun Racer kits. It should be note that the concept of module chassis on the original Dangun Racer series was later reused on the MS Chassis of Mini 4WD kits.

At least Dangun Racer stayed longer than R/C Mini 4WD series, which doesn't have any associated media works at all.

Ok, I ordered 9 of those Dangun for December (for now) also I can get used Dangun circuit "8" shaped for around 700 yen (but the posting price would kill me). In my country nearly nobody knows about Mini 4WD, we only got "slot cars" back in 80's and 90's. So I need something cheap yet obtainable in large amounts, track/circuit that can be easly modified and decontructed that would fit in my car so I can go with it to Anime Conventions in Poland (also Belarus and Slovakia).

Sadly even Gunpla is a really niche hobby here.

P.S. Would be it a problem if I would post here pictures of my remodeled/repainted Dangun Racers?

Hi Guys, it's me again

MS Project (Speedtech version)
I am facing a hard time with the MS Project (speed tech version) I am making. The setup is has a good landing on the jump ramps (the orange ones). However, it "long" jumps on camel back jumps (slopes) passes the 3 straight panels and misses the corner. I am forced to use light dash motor just to barely land before the corner but my rivals are using ultra and mach dash. I am thinking of adding black brakes at the front but maybe you have additional inputs on the setup I am making.

Attached photo is the speedtech version. It's MS-L and bumperless.

MS Project (Softspeed version)
I am facing dilemma also on my previous project. Now we have new pro players, my car seems to be left behind. I am thinking that I am retiring this project since the new players have fully tweaked their single shaft cars which is why my dual shaft car will never win. Do you think a dual shaft car can outrun a ultra dash motored car?

New Mini 4WD items for December release. Note that the links are from Tamiya's Japanese official website.

Seriously Tamiya...why you release another battery and charger sets when you already have one. And what's more, why there's only one Mini 4WD car release.
*
I think the new charger set is a revised one, probably better than the old one. Who knows. I think the battery is still the same though.

And glad that they re-release the black double roller. The last time I got it for a fairly normal price was in late 2013. After that the price inflated so much. LOL.

hi all sifu2 & otai2....im from KL,i quit playing mini 4wd about 17years ago,im thinking to start this tamiya mini 4wd as my hobby again,i saw many type of chassis on market now...

- for newbie,is the better way to get a starter pack mini 4wd or buy a standard mini 4wd and buying additional part 1 by 1....
- any place to play around KL and Selangor area?
- i saw lots of people playing mini 4wd at TU,how much RM u guys pay for it? or jz free play?
- all friend quit this hobby long time ago(pencen)
- Any malaysia tamiya mini 4wd group on facebook?

old man trying to start playing mini 4wd....pls help
*
Nothing wrong buying the starter pack to have a grasp/idea on the basic setting, because our setup nowadays is just so different than back in the 90's. The biggest difference is that now we have circuit jumps, so dampers were produced. There's no dampers back then. But like others said, purchasing parts by parts could be more economical if you know what you're doing.

The most important thing is that, only buy Tamiya branded parts.

Playing at TU is free as far as I'm concerned.

Is the thread dead? Or nothing fancy have happened to talk about? So by the way, I got my first "batch" od Dangun Racers model kits and parts for Mini 4WD (also Aoshima ones). Whole 10 models (and small miniature of Tamiya RC buggy), tomorrow we have a work free day so I will post some pictures, and I would be very pleased if anyone would give me some tips & tricks.

To be honest, it is not necessary for normal playing, unless you are planning to participates into some race tournaments; Said setup is very complex and there are some parts that are very hard to get.

Haha to be fair, I got burnt out with hobby. Or shall I say with the community to be frank.

Anyway, I am wondering if the MA/AR chassis can fit in ULD 35mm tyres or not.
High Speed, stock motor setting.
