Yes, its totally worth it.
Its still -20% off the original price, so there's that.
Its a massive advantage if you're playing Year Beast event due to your high Ability Point Pool, which in return a higher chance of earning random full sets. I've so far won 7 full sets equivalent to RM98 roughly. Its like you get your return from the winnings.

Above all, you get this friggin cute little wolf pup that's just so adorable!
I'm not even a dog person, but dayumm this pet alone makes it worth the purchase. Hands down the most exotic Arcana set I've seen. Those legs......mmmmm. And when CM does her ulti, her wolf pup howls.....so cute!!!!

The set only be put on the BACK (cape) side where her cape normally is. So you can actually mix her Arcana with her other custom hood, bracer, pauldron and staff.

They're dropping 5 full sets in every event matches rangling from rare to legendary sets, of course it would ruin the market value and valve source of income if its tradable.

It is however giftable, so I think its a good thing during CNY to exchange gifts among friends and players.

I figure once the event is over, future drops will allow trade functions.

Finally got my 10th YB Event win, and reach the 8k Ability Points mark.
Now I'm conflicted between Jadehorn or Gold courier.

Why do you even bother with low priority matches? That place is like worst of the worst bunch of players ever imaginable. I hated that I always end up there thanks to my son hijacking my laptop and alhappily abandoning games.

It feels like prison! You're stuck with the worst offenders of afkers, leavers, feeders, downright 5 year olds and thrashtalkers. It was worse in the previous patch where you need all 10 players to be online by the end of the match to consider a lpm deducted from your punishment. it doesn't really matter which side won, just as long everyone stays online. oh gawd that was so difficult to qchieve!

Thankfully now it doesnt matter if 9 players abandon, as long you finishes the match, you've done your time.

Granted the play skills are quite decent down here, its usually the early game that decides who lets who wins easy. Frankly, no one gives any fvcks.

I don't have Sniper set yet.
I have Omni, Morphling, Lina, Clockwerk, Bloodseeker.
Looking for Venomancer or PA set. :shy:

Nothing is sweeter than revenge!

I party with this noob Warlock who doesn't play support. Our team constantly got rekt by shadow blade heroes from start till end. My Sniper had to become support, and he even dare mock my noob item knowing full well I had to sacrifice my gold for wards. In the end, still lose.

Second game, immediately I see his name in the opposite team. Omg sweet revenge mang. My Crystal Maiden psycho his Pudge each time he miss hook. He was so focused on aiming me he forgot how to play the game as a team. The win was so much sweeter especially that thrash talk on him for his previous noob play.

Truthfully though, if you wanna kill revenge an asshole, make sure you have a partner in crime. Its much more satisfying and rewarding. Really nice when killing asshole and winning a match like that, it simply shut their trap.

nop. tried edy. it wont count.
only normal or ranked match counts. and if u abandon game midway, it wont count either.

Btw, if you have riki of invi heroes in your team, chances of dewarding is higher. Normally in a match I'd check every enemy inventory and see who carries a ward. Once identified, just be aware of his movement. Once you see his wards used, just left to do is retrace his steps.

Felt like playing without my arms. So helpless and clueless...

Thanks v1n0d. That was a good read indeed. Still haven't finish till the bottom. Also, the best decision in this game was to pick up Crystal Maiden thanks to you suggestion. This my progress so far...



And to top it off, Valve released CM Arcana. It was perfect timing! Haven't got bored playing her yet, although I know I should start practising other heroes too.

Took me 6 days to complete the quest for 50 deward.
I can go 3 matches and get no single deward, and sometimes I get 6 dewards in just one match. So its kinda depends on your enemy team if they have a warder.

So far, the obvious difference is the pup isn't blue but black and white. Similar to a border collie breed. For its animation, the pup sometimes holding a bone in its mouth.

Hey thanks for the kind words. I'm still trying to improve my cm built. Earlier I started my CM with blink since I'm aiming to be more of an offensive-minded support, but halfway I realize that despite blink helps a plenty with faster positioning in team fights and lets my move considerably quicker around the map, I tend to compensate that with other objectives:
1- ward other side of the map while my team engage in team fights on the opposite side.
2- use alternate route to a team fights. while I may arrive late in the fights, more often than not my CM doesn't die too soon and my ulti can turn the tide.
As for core item, I'm pretty much content with tranquil boots and bkb. Its down between Scepter and Blink that makes me consider scepter as more effective tool for me. And thats about pretty much what I can afford in a game because i spent a lot of gold on wards, perhaps too much. Damn I wish I can just light up the entire map with wards. Treant Protector you say?

Anyway, I watched your match yesterday playing Crystal Maiden v1n0d. It was very impressive. Surprises me how ur CM can have 400++ movement speed at lvl 21+. I checked your items doesn't differ much from mine. Too bad the enemy Meepo was already fat as fvck.

THE FIRST GOLDEN RULE OF DOTA

The first rule of Dota is perhaps the most important: it’s never your fault. It doesn’t matter if you went 0-10, it was probably because someone else on your team didn’t support you, or maybe that damn Slardar was just always missing his stuns. Crystal Maiden didn’t get wards? Definitely enough to give her the loss.

We can now divide a Dota game into two important parts: part 1) preliminaries and part 2) assigning blame. The preliminaries in some occasions could last long past the laning phase into the mid game and even to the late. They could also be as short as just the picking phase. I mean really, who the hell actually goes Slark? Even in games that you’re actually winning, it’s still very possible to make the strong transition into stage two. If that damn Batrider had been spamming napalm then this game would have been over ten minutes ago. If Lycan had actually come out of the jungle before 30 minutes, I would have never have even died.

In most cases though, you’re going to lose. Simple probability would suggest that aggregate loss rate should be 50%, but somehow Dota finds a way to shatter the laws of statistics. Given that you’re probably always going to end up with that asshole on your team, the loss rate of Dota games always seems to end up right around 76%. And even those games you win are probably mostly due to leavers or simple DCs.

OK, now you’re really losing and you’re wondering who to blame. First choice should always be your lane partner. Did you run in and die? He must not have supported you enough. Did he run in and die? What a feeder. Next up, blaming mid is always a good choice. He probably didn’t gank enough. If he did gank a lot, he probably did a terrible job of stopping the other mid from solo farming. Next, you can blame the jungler. He probably didn’t help the lane enough or if he did, I bet his farm is terrible. Be sure to remember that to make fun of later in the game. If none of those options applies, try blaming another lane, or even someone on the other team for picking a hero that’s either OP or just too damn easy.

Now you’ve finally narrowed it down to who it is you need to blame. You should probably start by calling him a noob. From there, you can either go young and call him a kid or go old and lambaste him for still living in his mother’s basement. Next, a lot of people could escalate to calling this person an idiot, dumbass, or any of a wide variety of racial or sexual slurs. A more interesting choice though is to potentially call this person a nerd. That’ll really make him think.

Your throne is probably destroyed at this point and you’re thinking of how you could have possibly lost another. I mean, the other team was so bad. Well, whatever happens you can always take solace in the fact that at least it wasn’t your fault.
