no.... your dentist asked you to avoid hard food coz the damaged to your tooth is probably pretty severe... hence the root treatment.... if it's too severe for normal restoration then you will have to go for crowning....
'weak' root is referring to your supporting tissue's health.... it's basically whether you have gum problem or not..... if you have severe gum problem(shaky teeth) then you are not a good candidate for braces..... if it's mild then your dentist will have to clean up your teeth and you have to keep them really clean for a period of time.... once the dentist is satisfy that you can maintain your dental health, then only you can go for braces..... if your gum problem is not controlled, braces will make things worse..... your teeth will be pretty loose.... may even have them extracted if it's too loose.... |

no... your probably used hard/medium toothbrush and brushed too hard.... this will hurt your teeth(root area) and coz recession of your gum..... not necessary means you have gum problem...

no... damon is the same as the other braces systems.... whether or not extraction is needed depends on the severity of your crowding.....
you dun need to remove your wisdom teeth to do braces....... |

Dr Reuben is nice.... gentlemen... I think he travels alot to aussie though...
'invinsible' braces is actually lingual braces... very much more expensive as it's not easy to place it and make adjustments... generally cost RM10k and above... |

what is invisible braces?? lingual braces is the most unnoticeable of all.... followed by ceramic and plastic....
lingual braces has it's limitation though... not all cases can be corrected with it.... |

those look like plastic brackets to me..... plastic braces tend to get stained after a while... ceramic would be nicer.... end result and duration of treatment are the same..... generally cost 1-2k more than normal metal braces....

why not opt for removal lower retainers? fix retainers tend to trap food and you can't use floss too....
Cherrie.... did you check out the lady orthodontists couple of doors from PJ orthodontic? she's pretty gentle..... I routinely refer ortho cases to her and Dr Lee(PJ ortho)..... |

lower front teeth will shift at about 20-30 years old.... nuthin to do with wisdom teeth.... this is due to remodelling of the lower jaw that coz it to move forward slightly....

normally it causes lower front teeth to rotate a little..... most ppl will experience this.... having perfectly straight teeth when they were teenager then the lower front teeth become 'not so straight' over time till 30 years old....

end result, discomfort level and treatment duration are the same..... proven by many studies.... the claims you read about self ligating having advantages over conventional braces are all marketing gimmick by the respective companies...........

Dr Reuben was trained in Aussie..... 95% of the orthodontists in Malaysia are trained in overseas.... only recently local unis started producing ortho specialists.....
Dr Wong is good.... but her waiting list is until after cny.... |
