you will need to have the retainer on 24hrs a day for the 1st year after debonding.... after that it's nite time only.....some ppl are more prone to relapse if they din put on the retainer...

easily 5-6k now..... some places can still get 4k and below but they may not be orthodontists....

nice... if you dun mind, you have a pretty obvious gummy smile.... do ask your dentist if there's way of overcoming it..... it will make your smile 'perfect'.....

bleeding gums are most probably due to bad oral hygiene... smile.gif not advisable to go for braces until you can do a good job and prevent bleeding(gum problem)

brush your teeth for at least 2 minutes each time and make sure your brushing technique is correct... use floss daily......

try to avoid GA if possible.... sedation is a good option if you are really frighten about it....

there's always risk whenever you go under GA but it's pretty low lah.... but when under GA, surgeons are normally pretty rough... smile.gif

Alex??? huh?? the Alex from India? last I checked he's not an orthodontist.....

Dr Reuben is nice... used to attend conferences with him b4 he went to further his ortho studies in Aussie.... he used to work in UKM....

UM waiting list was 5 years when I was there..... government clinics is way faster but they only treat pts under 17 years old.....

double ace.... if your crowning is very minimal, you can straighten your teeth without any extraction..... may need some trimming of your teeth to create space though..... most cases need extractions.....

deadangel.... why don't you pay a visit to those orthodontists that you mentioned and see if you are comfortable with the dentist and environment......

prices depend on location..... some can go up to 10k for the same thing.... and others may charge as low as 4k....
