upper removable braces may be good enough...... if not than a fix upper braces will definitely close the gap....
other options will be placing filling material to close the gap, veneer or crown.... but I dun advise these routes..... |

your orthodontist will check thoroughly before deciding if you are suitable for braces or not... if your tooth is in bad condition/not restorable, you will probably have to remove it instead of the usual premolar....

it is possible to use your old retainer to close the gaps.... bring it to your orthodontist for adjustment..... after the gap closes, you gotta maintain it by wearing it every night for LIFE.......

QUOTE(Post-Je-Ape-Ape @ Dec 31 2013, 04:35 PM) My experience with braces is a pleasant one. When I was in form 2, I had braces done, its called the Damon brand. Only need 1 tooth to be extracted, unlike my friends who need 2/3/4. After injection, no pain, and felt nothing! So fast the tooth extract already. 2 years is not fast.....After putting on my braces for 1st time, then the pain comes. Cannot bite, LITERALLY! Even upper teeth hit lower teeth will be painful But that pain last only for 1 week, so ok la, after a week, I can eat like normal. Except cannot bite hard stuff. Every month gotta go visit the dentist for tightening. Many people say its a hell-ish experience, but for me nope... Not pain also? After tighten a bit pain, but I can still eat like normal also. And Damon braces result damn fast, Form 2 put on, Form 4 end year take off. so only 2 years!! and my teeth is straight as ruler until today. I am 18 now. Hope my experience helped alot of you facing dilemma. Different people will face different experience. So this is mine. Indeed i actually MISS having braces than I am without them..... |

QUOTE(StarScream01 @ May 25 2014, 10:13 AM) any recommended doctors? how's your experience with getting your braces with them? budget? timeframe? there are 2 of them.... one is a male doc graduated from Japan... the other is an elder lady... UK trained.... I have no experience with them... there used to be another female orthodontist at metro prima but she has moved to Kajang. |

QUOTE(hjh87 @ Nov 25 2014, 07:38 PM) Hey guy, got a question here. Let say I've done my braces with Clinic A and get a retainer from them, then can I go to Clinic B to get another retainer?? you can get it done at any orthodontic clinic... but it's costly... around RM750.....Is yes, anyone of u got good recommendation for any Dental whom do the retainer with an affordable cost/good workmanship??? (The one I receive from the current Dental clinic seem like very poor make: Free one so can't expect more) Thanks. |
