Anyone went to these two clinics for braces?

1. Nice Smile Dental and Orthodontic Specialist Clinic (DR. NOR AZWA HASHIM)

2. Subang Orthodontic and Dental Specialist Centre (DR. NORAZIAN MOHD ADNAN)

Any review? Thanks is advance.

Hi,
where did you go for your braces in Subang Jaya? Is it good?
*
Hi hi. I go to Dental Avenue. It's located at the very far end of Subang Jaya though, aka Putra Heights.

So far, I have no complaints. My dentist explains quite thoroughly on how I should care for my teeth with the braces, and so far, there are no problems. I'm the type of patient who asks a lot of questions and all have been answered satisfactorily. biggrin.gif The staff are also courteous which makes scheduling future appointments or change of time smooth.

Hi, everyone. I'm from Kuching and will be start working in Kl soon. My older sister had braces in gov klinics which i always nag my mom for not bringing me when i had more severe problem than my sis. My sis don recommend me doing it but i think she tot so coz hers arent tat crowded as mine. I went to gov few years back n they said i cnt apply coz im not below 18, when i haven had my 18 bday yet... like wth...
here are a few questions.

1. I noticed my lower jaw tends to slide a bit to the right when i bite closely, which makes my jaw look senget a bit when taking pictures. Will braces make my senget jaw more senget? coz its born senget or something? (i think i saw some cases online)

2. Since im from kuching, i might go back to my hometown after takin off braces. Will der be problem switching orthodentist for retainers or after braces treatment?

3. Wat is the market price now in Kl for traditional braces? And places tat provide good services and explain everything patiently?

Thank you.

Is it possible to get one of those invisible braces that applied at the back of the teeth at government hospital? If not, how much it would cost at private?

Is this a fixed price? or it will be either cheaper or more expensive then the price depends on the condition

Guys to those wearing retainers, WTA is it really necessary to go for check up every 6 month if you already following the instructions to wear the retainers every night?

Bcs the last time i went for check up had to find parking, wait for my turn and when it was my turn the doctor just look at my teeth for 30 seconds and said everything is ok...ZZZ

Hi,
From what you're saying it might be a more complicated problem therefore a thorough checkup and diagnosis must be made before proceeding with treatment.

And no, preferably I would advise against changing orthodontics.

Hi,
Although it might seem like the dentist just looked at your teeth for 30 seconds and said okay, the 6 months check up is important to see the progress and the maintanance of the teeth after an orthodontic treatment as recurrence rate is quite high and when a dentist sees that lets say in the early stages he or she can correct it early to retain all the teeth that have been moved in that position.

Even if you follow his instructions to wear the retainers every night will have chance of reccurence??? If let's say have recurrence what will happen, must wear braces again? Must I pay for that again. Btw thanks for replying, didn't know it was possible for relapse to happen after wearing braces for 3 years.

Read this http://www.myobrace.com/how_myobrace_works...myobrace_option, It seems the condition is more from habit so as long as the habit is not corrected the condition will reoccur

Thus it is a life long treatment unless you change the habit..

If you goggle this

Adult Teeth Orthodontic Trainer Alignment Dental Appliance Tool M (Clear), It gives you an inexpensive way to wear braces to correct and realign your jaw line but it doesn't have any medical data to back it up..

I've ordered a set from Lazada as I have crooked teeth and am hoping to correct it.. Hope it'll work..

if there's anyone who has gone through the process and can share it would greatly ease my mind..

It's just for safety purposes, 'in case' anything wrong is happening it can be corrected when you go for those check up, you don't want problems after spending so much money, time and effort on your orthodontic treatment do you? The thing about teeth which people don't understand and I think most dentists fail to mention is that it has tendency to revert back to its original position no matter what, therefore the retainers which helps keep those forced movements in check and the teeth aligned as you wanted.

No problem, am a bored dentist roaming around trying to help smile.gif
