Clean the surface of the models to remove some oil
it might helps to prevent the paint chip off easily

may i know how u do it? coz wut i did was soak the plastic parts in a tub of soap water..
then rinse it a few times..
actually, the marker not so bad laa.. just that its not wut i'd expect.. that all
*
I didn't paint my Gundam
so I'm not sure my method works biggrin.gif
but I always wipe the surface with the cloth which wet with soap water before I draw panel lines
then I wipe the surface again with clean wet cloth

hey guys!
does any1 know where to get sand paper 600 n a good quality hobby knife? my location is w.maju. rclxub.gif  +does any1 except me use a box cutter to cut off their kit? sweat.gif
*
Most of the hardware shops do sell sandpaper no. 600
I'm just using a paper blade cutter & a wire cutter to build my models
Hobby knife is not really important for building your models

Maybe you can get a hobby cutter to replace the wire cutter
it's because hobby cutter will have a flat bottom surface (which will contact with the model surface)
normal wire cutter sometimes will hurt the parts surface when you cut too close to the parts

Yes, you can do like that
if you don't mind bout the extra work tongue.gif
but use fine sandpaper like no. 1000 & above

StormV:
Why not use those Mr. Color paint to paint?
Since Gundam Marker is not cheap at all

hamster9:
I've read from a tutorial bout hand brushing:
1) Dilute your paint until not so thick until when you brush on the surface, you should feel smooth during painting
2) Paint in 1 direction, ex. from left to right, but don't paint backwards after that
3) If you've paint the first layer horizontally, then the 2nd layer should paint in vertical direction, and then vice versa

Mr. Hobby that expensive?
I thought it's selling around RM 5.90 - 6.90 now

Don't forget you've still need to use thinner on the paint from Mr. Hobby
and that's another cost to the painting tools tongue.gif

Gaplant is quite a huge mecha
the HGUC Gaplant should be almost as tall as a MG RX-78-2
it's selling in 2,200 yen (about RM 73)
but of course RM 135 is quite overprice

I prefer Tallgeese III, which has the HG 1/100 now

I wonder Bandai will release a MG Guntank
since there's a MG Guncannon

If you plan to get FAZZ & Strike IWSP, get FAZZ first
FAZZ not much seen in the market while Strike IWSP will not "extinct" from the market within a year time

About the "Gundam Unicorn":
QUOTE
Update: Apparently this is a novel but I see the word "Anime" everywhere. Darn rumors...

http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/653/Gundam+Unicorn/

tongyam:
Your RX-78-2 is either the first MG (release more than 10 years ago) or it's RX-78-2 ver. 1.5 (release around 1998)
MG is getting more detail & better build each years
so you can't compare your RX-78-2 with the latest MG
it's like comparing the Proton Saga with Proton Waja

GrandElf:
1) Parts are small, easy to break any of them while building
2) Color seperation is good, basically you don't need to paint it after snap fit
3) Price is more expensive than regular Bandai's Gundam kits
4) Plastic seems lower quality than Bandai's Gundam

laugh.gif  Haha...sorry...must b getting old  laugh.gif

Anyway, MG Strike Rouge was just a reproduction of MG Strike which was released in 2003 (juz checked Dalong). D only difference is in colour...all the technology is still d same.
*
Strike Rouge also has Kagari figure
which made it slightly more expensive than Strike
