I received my A7ii with kit lens.
Now, problem coming... for the 70-200, should I get the FE 70-200/4 or use LA-EA4 pair with my SAL 70-200G?

There is the pro and con between E-mount & A mount

E-mount:
Pro:
- can fully utilize hybrid focusing
- focusing coverage is wide
- Size and weight
- Color (notice that skin tone color is good)

Con:
- Need to buy new (RM4K)
- F4 ?

A mount:
pro:
- F2.8
- Ready with me
- Only need to purchase LA-EA4

Con:
- cannot utilize A7ii hybrid focusing
- LA-EA4 focusing coverage in frame is less, too center.
- Weight & Size

Hey guys, do anyone know where in Malaysia can I find the Zeiss Loxia lens to try playing with it? I always go to Sony Stores to test any Sony cameras and lenses, especially the KLCC store, brilliant! But this time, too bad, it's a REAL Zeiss, Sony Stores do not sell them.

Thanks for the lengthy feedback, I appreciate your sharing. Guess, I will avoid buying from Japan then. We own a Sony Nex 6, was wondering if there is anything good to buy while in Japan. Do you think I should grab a E-mount Carl Zeiss lens? I currently have the 16-50mm kit lens only. Tested my friend's SEL24F18Z, it was very nice. Much crispier than our kit lens.
So no camera but what about must-have accessories for a Nex 6? Or lenses? Any recommendation for a good travelling lens? We are using 16-50 kit now.

Exceeded budget. By the way, can the SEL1670Z be used with A7II (in case we upgrade?)?

i saw 1 shop sell a6000 for rm2150 with 2 batteries, 2 16gb memory and a bag
is it a good deal? or should wait for upcoming model?

im planning to buy a camera as part of the wedding gifts for wedding around sept this year..
shud i wait or buy now?
scared everyhing will become more expensive after this, with gst etcetc

as i know, the market price for this new unit a7r about 5xxx, and not 6299...  promotion 

if i remember correctly the 3yrs extended warranty about 400-500; and that still be ~300-400 cheaper than this offer (6299). also this promotion which is only cover 1 yrs extended warranty. Smart marketing  better to call in as a trade off instead of promotion. anyway, street shop is good for cash buyer and sony retail is good for 0% installment, fair enough 

ya, i understand your point buying at street shop. always have to ask them take a set that never open (completely sealed); they can give whatever reason it is, but the is up to us to get what we want.  if A no good, go B, if B no good , go C and so on. Still have many shoppers looking for business, just matter of small or big margin they earn 

From the past i wish to buy from sony retail, but their prices just turn me down  but weird i saw sometime US/Aus sony retail did very attractive promotion with included adapter for very very attractive prices. never could happen at here haha

Eh bro, aiyah.. I didn't get to login into the LYN for few days because busy preparing the promotions. Just go like the facebook page so that when there's another promotion from us you will know it first.

TBH, nowadays mirrorless is just that... mirror-less. AF speed is the primary loser when it comes to losing the mirror (SLTs have mirrors too), but we're quickly catching up with on-sensor phase detect sites.

Also, being all small and crap, more things are being crammed into a smaller space and we're seeing exactly the same issue we get from stuffing performance PC parts into the small footprint of a lappy: Heat.

Finally, also because manufactures want to keep mirrorless cams "small", we're suffering on the battery life side due to the limited space available for batteries. Or for that matter, other niceties like multiple memory slots or more buttons and dials.

Otherwise, mirrorless cams are just as good as SLRs at this point IMHO.
