QUOTE(Chyan @ Jan 11 2015, 09:24 PM) I'm using a ton of Xposed Module Apps too. But I can forgo those until later. Some features like network indicator, adblocking (selected by some devs) are baked in CM12. But I miss Greenify and Unicon with Xposed though. Isn't network indicator already baked into cm12?Few days ago I asked about this and someone post screenshot of working networking indicator in cm12 |

QUOTE(ho-ll @ Jan 12 2015, 11:53 AM) I think Nillkin's quality should be OK (Based on previous experience with the case, haha!) i bought usb cable from Remax brand. so far the output also good.No harm in giving a try since the original one cost double of the price. funny thing is, these cables with brand are same price (RM15-20) with brandless ones from PC fair. might as well buy one from remax or nillkin these crappy cables sometimes output only 500mAh even when plug to a 2A charger. measured using galaxy current on my previous samsung phone. quite sad this phone no such app support to measure current |

QUOTE(pisces1529 @ Jan 12 2015, 12:55 PM) Surprisingly cheap man.. I gonna get one and test it. Go pasar malam also rm10 to 30.. Any idea how to test charging current on one plus one? there's no way to do so. need borrow one of the galaxy phone and try with galaxy charging current app.for oneplus, it takes 120mins to charge from 0-100% from 1-90% is 1%/minute, then from 90-100% need 30mins. so you estimate yourself. if after 10 minutes only increase 5% then the cable&charger combo is not feeding the max capacity to the phone. |

QUOTE(sanderz @ Jan 12 2015, 04:35 PM) Gsam battery monitor can do it, why need Galaxy phone? =.= What if he use a S3 and S3 only takes 1A input only so you also don't know whats the input. Non of the apps work like Galaxy charging current. Tons of app out there. I tried gsam battery monitor. It jz check the battery percentage, wait for it to increase 1% and estimate the current base on battery capacity. Results are not real time. And not even accurate. Galaxy charging current checks instantly and accurately. |

QUOTE(mcdeck @ Jan 13 2015, 11:28 PM) Its in level 3. I remember that the store is near to the store named All IT Store. I think so. The OTG adapter that looks like android logofyi, the item should look like this : [attachmentid=4300216] DirectD gives it for free during phone purchase. I have 3 of them already. |

QUOTE(layzieboy @ Jan 14 2015, 12:53 PM) Which iphone are you coming from? samsung, sony and LG flagships takes excellent pictures. their quality on par with iphone camera.Be warned that the camera on Android phones (OPO included) are well behind that of iphones in terms of speed and overall responsiveness of the software. AFAIK, the iphone takes sharper pictures because of this. YMMV. OPO one is quite behind. camera software has cropped view finder, color often washed out, and images cant capture as much detail. low light performance quite ok, but easily overexposed for outdoor phone. i'm hugely dissapointed on opo camera since my old samsung phone camera is way better. this phone almost every image that i snap also need to use image editor to tweak the saturation and temperature. |

QUOTE(Azureknight94 @ Jan 15 2015, 03:52 AM) I think TS can add to the thread title if got signal problems refer to first page for modem flashing as a possible fix to the problem. Seems like everyday also got signal problems lol. That is not a solution at all. The phone should work without any tinkering to the modem. Don't mislead people. I suspect it's the unit being recycled by seller. Haha but unsure la. Need ask the 2 person with the issue whether they exchange already or not. It's so sad to hear people facing this. But it kinda gives a bad impression on this phone overall. The antenna for the phone is at the back cover? Possible after changing swap cover didn't close properly or the pins inside dirty? |

QUOTE(Boon3 @ Jan 15 2015, 09:43 AM) Woah!!!! if you buy a phone, any phone. on stock firmware with stock everything.that is a big statement to make. Read the statements/experiences shared in the XDA forum. Many have expressed much better and stable signal after changing different modem. Are those (many) people misleading others? Granted most are not local in the XDA forum. What about lowyat members? I've tinkered the modem until I got one to my satisfactory. (Pointless to share mine cos my location and my carrier is most likely different from others) And from my point of view, changing the modem does help. If I am also misleading others, so be it. by the way, changing and testing a different modem is so simple. and for those having signal issues, what harm is there to flash a different modem for testing? the reception should work out of a box. if it's not, something is very wrong with it and should go exchange. besides, changing modem might bring slightly better reception on a good phone, but it's not going to help those defective phone with no signal at all to suddenly become normal signal. sounds more like a hardware problem to me. since other unit with stock cm11s has no signal issue. no offence dude, but it's a phone, it should have working signal out of the box. the idea of needing to flash other modem other than the stock one to repair the signal sounds really absurd to me. QUOTE(faridz7 @ Jan 14 2015, 01:07 PM) thanks for the replies guys..i'm still using my iphone 4s Pics from oneplus forum most of them are RAW image that have been extensively tweak by expert in photographyYup somehow the iphone's camera sensor is better in general compared to the android phones but I was looking at that oneplus forum thread where the user posts his photos taken with his 1plus and the photos were pretty awesome @evanrue : ive been thinking of the g3 but raelly wary of the UI lag or any lag for that matter..coming from an iphone where as you know there arent many lags or none at all since it cant be customized and all that...no offence guys, ive never used an android phone at all so I dont know but i keep hearing/reading the reviews on the UI lag..it differs for so many ppl, been reading all sorts of reviews, some rave about the battery, some complain...wah damn pening lol for real life point and shoot, it's a hit or miss (sometimes great, sometimes terrible). most of the time is a miss for me. color temperature is often off, usually too cold (bluish) leading to washed out picture see comparison with amazon fire phone in link below. look at some of the flower, it's so washed out and pale. (some, not all, that's why i say it's a hit or miss) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « even in good light, sometimes the image gets unnaturally cold. look at this food image, before edit the color totally wrong! the ckt is so pale and the plate is in a totally different color shade. after editing by slightly increasing saturation and giving it a warmer temperature, then only it looks like the real thing. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by mtxx: Jan 15 2015, 04:36 PM |

QUOTE(faridz7 @ Jan 15 2015, 05:48 PM) thanks alot mtxx ! will take this into consideration I personally won't choose Find 7 and g3 due to their terrible battery life. According to phone arena battery browsing test. When all phones screen set to 200 nits brightness, oneplus score 8 hour 5 min compared to g3 6 hour 14 min and find 7 4 hour 30 mins. http://www.phonearena.com/news/Sony-Xperia...ry-life_id60955so far its between the oneplus, oppo find 7 (as suggested by another user here) and the lg g3, will check them out this weekend. As i read up on more reviews, Im beginning to lean away from the G3 more and more due to the overheating and the battery life though what you said about the point and shoot being a hit and miss without editing is right, its the same as most reviews Ive been reading..im using this oneplus forum link : link to check out and base the photo quality with the oneplus, but these are with hdr and some post-processing done. i tend to edit my photos even on my phone so shooting with raw on a phone is so appealing ! guys, whats the difference between buying an international set and a china one? read some posts of some saying with the china set, youll get signal problems in msia but some say otherwise and have no problem signal wise I like to snap photo alot using phone and despite oneplus camera is not stellar. I still stick with it. The consistent smoothness and excellent battery life is great. But g3 and find 7 have much better camera. Especially g3 one, laser focus with ois. International version and China version differ only in their antenna. China model cnt use 4g in USA that's all. If u jz use in Malaysia both are the same. Signal problem sounds serious in this thread but actually just 3 people posting only. Unlucky lemon unit. |
