I'm using a ton of Xposed Module Apps too. But I can forgo those until later. Some features like network indicator, adblocking (selected by some devs) are baked in CM12. But I miss Greenify and Unicon with Xposed though.

It is baked in. Not the same can be said for the adblocker.

I think Nillkin's quality should be OK (Based on previous experience with the case, haha!)

Which iphone are you coming from?
Be warned that the camera on Android phones (OPO included) are well behind that of iphones in terms of speed and overall responsiveness of the software. AFAIK, the iphone takes sharper pictures because of this.
YMMV.

I think TS can add to the thread title if got signal problems refer to first page for modem flashing as a possible fix to the problem. Seems like everyday also got signal problems lol.

Read the statements/experiences shared in the XDA forum.
Many have expressed much better and stable signal after changing different modem.

Are those (many) people misleading others?

Granted most are not local in the XDA forum.

What about lowyat members?

I've tinkered the modem until I got one to my satisfactory. (Pointless to share mine cos my location and my carrier is most likely different from others)
And from my point of view, changing the modem does help.

If I am also misleading others, so be it.


by the way, changing and testing a different modem is so simple.
and for those having signal issues, what harm is there to flash a different modem for testing?

Yup somehow the iphone's camera sensor is better in general compared to the android phones but I was looking at that oneplus forum thread where the user posts his photos taken with his 1plus and the photos were pretty awesome

@evanrue : ive been thinking of the g3 but raelly wary of the UI lag or any lag for that matter..coming from an iphone where as you know there arent many lags or none at all since it cant be customized and all that...no offence guys, ive never used an android phone at all so I dont know but i keep hearing/reading the reviews on the UI lag..it differs for so many ppl, been reading all sorts of reviews, some rave about the battery, some complain...wah damn pening lol

so far its between the oneplus, oppo find 7 (as suggested by another user here) and the lg g3, will check them out this weekend. As i read up on more reviews, Im beginning to lean away from the G3 more and more due to the overheating and the battery life though

what you said about the point and shoot being a hit and miss without editing is right, its the same as most reviews Ive been reading..im using this oneplus forum link :  link  to check out and base the photo quality with the oneplus, but these are with hdr and some post-processing done.

i tend to edit my photos even on my phone so shooting with raw on a phone is so appealing !

guys, whats the difference between buying an international set and a china one? read some posts of some saying with the china set, youll get signal problems in msia but some say otherwise and have no problem signal wise

Guys please, I really need help on this. The battery life getting even worse and it is so annoying. At first, I can easily get the battery until the next day but now I almost need to charge twice a day.
