My 6 plus 8.1.3 doing nth idle around 8-9 hours with wifi and data off drop around 4-5%. Is this normal? Or my battery starting to acting weird lol.
*
I think it souds normal, but also depends on what is your battery percentage level. It drops faster at certain levels compared to others. For example, on standby mode, mine takes forever to drop from 100% to 99%, but thereafter from 99% it drops much faster to 98%. Pretty normal.

Aiyo, don't worry too much about battery life and enjoy the phone, bro. smile.gif

how the heck did you guys even have the time to worry about your phone's battery life.

nothing caught my attention until it starts draining like nobody's business, which doesn't happen to me.

Anyone have been used apps called battery doctor?

I also used during iPhone 5 days but found not much difference. With the 6 Plus, there really isn't a need for it smile.gif

Read and searched thru this thread and mostly talked about battery performance on i6+.

I wonder how long does i6 last under light/ moderate / heavy usage? Need some benchmark to determine if mine works fine....

TQ!

I'll say two more words about the battery performance of the iPhone 6 Plus and then I won't mention it again: -

QUOTE(lazybump_nonsense @ Feb 7 2015, 05:00 PM)
hmmmmm ................. after months of using iphone 6, my user experience for the phone is this is the only version that i not really impress with the performance...i guess the 1GB ram really needs an upgrade.

Tho, i am not really sure is it the OS problem or the RAM problem, some apps such as facebook keep closed automatically from background. Hopefully 8.2 does fix this if it is OS problem . Slight lag with the notification centre too..

But, there's still something i am impress with, the battery life. Even if you upgrade from 5S, it's still a big leap for the battery life. But in term of phone performance, it's really not a good upgrade.

Patiently waiting for the next iPhone biggrin.gif
*
I'll admit that the iOS today is not the smoothest of UI experience compared to the days of the old, but I think the lag or perceived lag is still very minimal. I've had my 6 Plus for a month now, and I'll admit that iOS 8 (am on 8.1.3 presently) is still not the most refined experience. I've had some apps crashing every now and then but overall it doesn't happen often enough for me to fuss about it. I think Apple will get it right eventually. Just a matter of time.

I totally agree with you on the battery life though. I'm still trying to adjust to not having to charge my phone every night! I've successfully converted a fellow colleague and my wife from their Galaxy Notes to 6 Plus just by talking about the battery life, ha ha (Hopefully that doesn't come back to haunt me!).

QUOTE(QQHTJ @ Feb 7 2015, 06:05 PM)
thank you for yr advice. i will consider about it seriously. i scare the currect iphone 6 plus performance very bad
*
I think a lot depends on what you expect from your phone, and whether the user interface suits your needs. if you're already an Apple user, then I would say the 6 or 6 Plus is definitely a worthwhile upgrade from the previous generations. If you're on a different platform then it depends on what you currently like or dislike about your existing phone and its operating system. That said, the 6 Plus is hardly a bad phone!

They're going with 4GB of RAM now on the newer Androids... That's equivalent to the amount of RAM on my laptop biggrin.gif

I ordered my wife iPhone 6 64GB Gold from Apple Store Malaysia online..

Ordered on 30th Jan Friday and received early morning 5 Feb Thursday..

All is well..

For me, im still dilemma whether to by the 6 or 6+ ..after trying my wifes phone..seems ok..but errr just add RM400 can get 6+..

just worried to big to handle..even i do have big hands..hahaha
*
It depends on what was your previous phone. If you were using an iPhone 5 or 5S/C then the 6 Plus is definitely a giant of a phone and will take time to get used to it. I moved from iPhone 5 to Note 3 and felt it was too big. Then after a while it became a non issue. Now on the 6 Plus, it's just 7mm taller than the Note 3 but if you slap on a really bulky casing like I did, then it becomes even bigger, haha. But the gorgeous screen and battery life makes it worthwhile. The phone only feels uncomfortable in my pocket if I'm wearing tight jeans and sitting down. Otherwise it is also a non issue.

current use is iPhone 4 (4 years old phone) which still works fine with a crack screen..ahaha
so its a huge screen size move for me if take the 6+
Thanks for the honest review
biggrin.gif

From a 4 to a 6 Plus is a huge jump coz that's a 2 inch diagonal increase in screen size. Many iPhone 4 users prefer to jump to 6 coz they think the size is more manageable. In the end it's up to you to choose according to your needs or preference.

Where is this btw?

Some temple in Butterworth... just back after a short trip for work.

Was taking photos with my colleagues, one using a Z Ultra and the other on a Note 3. We took the same scenes just to compare... Needless to say who had the best photos, ha ha ha...

I think these days smartphone cameras are well equipped to take very good night shots. Still, I too didn't expect the photos to turn out as well as they did. smile.gif

Guys, what's a good back up phone to your iPhone 6 / 6 Plus? Preferably using nano sim card and of a different OS? I'd like to keep a spare for emergencies and for use with a second sim card when I'm overseas but don't really want another iOS device (no 5/5C/5S) or overpriced Android flagship coz it's just a spare phone.

I've got a bad experience of a sim adapter being stuck in the phone. Cost me RM50 to repair the phone after I forcefully removed the sim and damaged the sim slot, ha ha.. So I'm definitely avoiding any use of adapters of any kind.

Probably the Original one is a local MY set? Can't be Lazada selling counterfeit products, ha ha.
